ARC Israel Updates

Chaim starts by thanking his viewers for sending him and his comrades snacks to keep their morale up as they’re fighting the war.

He says that keeping up morale is important as many soldiers are being killed and wounded in action and the war is taking a toll on Israel in many other ways. Hamas is stealing the humanitarian aid that international donors are sending into the Strip, even as Hezbollah is withdrawing its elite Radwan force from the Northern border after Israel signaled that it was ready to destroy this force.

He also mentions the efforts by Egypt to broker a cease-fire and his own unit’s efforts to destroy the warren of terror tunnels Hamas has dug and constructed beneath the Strip.

He also says that the tunnels are, in a way, very impressive, and he also mentions that the construction of these tunnels must have taken a long time, probably starting shortly after Israel withdrew from the Strip in 2005. The children who were in Gaza at that time have grown up and they are now being used by Hamas as their foot soldiers in attacking Israel.

He quotes I Kings 18:21; And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word.

He also quotes Joshua 24:15; And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of [a]the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

He says that this war is presenting everyone with the same choice today.

The video ends with a montage of IDF soldiers thanking the supporters of the Aliyah Return Center for the assistance they’ve provided.

(Day 734) Swords of Iron – The hostages are coming home!

Chaim starts by saying that he’s in Jerusalem (wearing civilian clothes) and he is so excited because the deal to release the remaining Israeli hostages held in Gaza has been signed and finalized. The hostages will be able to celebrate at least the last day or maybe two days of Succot, the Feast of Tabernacles.

(Day 731) Swords of Iron – “Where are the hostages?”

Chaim starts by talking about how he’s been mobilized in this war for two years, which is 10% of his adult life, and he’s seen and participated in many of the war’s most well-known campaigns. However, now is a special time because it is the Feast of Tabernacles and it’s time for the people of Israel to build temporary, flimsy structures to remind ourselves of the Exodus from Egypt when God watched over us and protected and provided for us despite the desperately insecure situation we were in.
