ARC Israel Updates

Chaim starts by quoting Psalms 5:12; For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.

He moves on to remind his viewers of the dishonest way media outlets and international organizations, including the UN, portray the situation in Israel and the war with Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists. He says it’s up to ordinary people like his viewers to share videos and other content that tells the true story.

He says that 2023 was a difficult year for Israel and there’s no sign of things improving in 2024, although there has been considerable progress made in pushing back the threat from Hamas. However, on the northern border, Hezbollah is stepping up it’s activities and there are tens of thousands of Iranian-backed militias massing in Syria with a possible intent to strike Israel at any moment.

He thanks his viewers for standing with Israel in prayer and by giving financial support to the Aliyah Return Center so it can help people who need help. He gives an especially warm thanks to those who have come to Israel to volunteer in this time of trouble.

He then quotes Psalms 73; Truly God is good to Israel, To such as are pure in heart. But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; My steps had nearly slipped. For I was envious of the boastful, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

For there are no pangs in their death, but their strength is firm. They are not in trouble as other men, nor are they plagued like other men.

Therefore pride serves as their necklace; volence covers them like a garment. Their eyes bulge with abundance; they have more than heart could wish. They scoff and speak wickedly concerning oppression; they speak loftily. They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walks through the earth.

Therefore his people return here, and waters of a full cup are drained by them. And they say, “How does God know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?”

Behold, these are the ungodly, who are always at ease; they increase in riches. Surely I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence. For all day long I have been plagued, and chastened every morning.

If I had said, “I will speak thus,” Behold, I would have been untrue to the generation of Your children. When I thought how to understand this, at was [e]too painful for me—Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I understood their end.

Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down to destruction. Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors. As a dream when one awakes, ao, Lord, when You awake, You shall despise their image.

Thus my heart was grieved, and I was vexed in my mind. I was so foolish and ignorant; I was like a beast before You. Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

For indeed, those who are far from You shall perish; You have destroyed all those who [h]desert You for harlotry. But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all Your works.

He concludes by once again thanking his viewers for their support and urges them to continue with it.

(Day 734) Swords of Iron – The hostages are coming home!

Chaim starts by saying that he’s in Jerusalem (wearing civilian clothes) and he is so excited because the deal to release the remaining Israeli hostages held in Gaza has been signed and finalized. The hostages will be able to celebrate at least the last day or maybe two days of Succot, the Feast of Tabernacles.

(Day 731) Swords of Iron – “Where are the hostages?”

Chaim starts by talking about how he’s been mobilized in this war for two years, which is 10% of his adult life, and he’s seen and participated in many of the war’s most well-known campaigns. However, now is a special time because it is the Feast of Tabernacles and it’s time for the people of Israel to build temporary, flimsy structures to remind ourselves of the Exodus from Egypt when God watched over us and protected and provided for us despite the desperately insecure situation we were in.
