ARC Israel Updates

Chaim begins by telling his viewers that “war is not for the faint of heart” and then lists some of the horrors that Israelis are facing including rocket attacks that endanger their lives and terrorize them constantly.

But he says the IDF is hitting back hard and putting an end to the bullying and tyranny of Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the other terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip. He says the wicked shall not prosper, which is a Biblical principle found in Proverbs 10:2-3; Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death. The Lord will not allow the righteous soul to famish, but He casts away the desire of the wicked.

He says Hezbollah in Lebanon is watching and taking note of what happens to the wicked. He says that Beruit, the capital of Lebanon, used to be a beautiful city, “the Paris of the Middle East” but it is a dangerous slum city now as Hezbollah is the dominant power in Lebanon and has been cruel in its persecution of Christians.

He repeats his theme that “heroes are rising” as the IDF reservists are “cleaning house” in Gaza and also in the terrorist networks in Judea and Samaria. He mentions several IDF units which have distinguished themselves in the battle.

He says it’s making him think that it might be time for all of us to “clean house” in our own lives, and then he mentions the fact that US forces in the Middle East are taking a lot of fire from Iranian-backed militias. He says it’s an example of what happens when wickedness is allowed to fester instead of being dealt with.

He mentions the discovery of weapons in a hospital in Gaza, as well as evidence that hostages were kept in a certain room of that hospital. He says the wicked won’t be allowed to get away with this any longer.

He says the Lord is leading the charge and bringing light back to the darkness. He asks his viewers to continue standing in the gap and says that “righteousness WILL prevail” in these dark times.

He quotes 2 Samuel 22:29-40

“For You are my lamp, O Lord; The Lord shall enlighten my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop; By my God I can leap over a wall. As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

“For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? God is my strength and power, and He makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places.

He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your gentleness has made me great. You enlarged my path under me; So my feet did not slip.

“I have pursued my enemies and destroyed them; Neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed. And I have destroyed them and wounded them so that they could not rise; They have fallen under my feet.

For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose against me.

Chaim concludes by thanking God for strengthening him and his comrades in the time of battle.

(Day 734) Swords of Iron – The hostages are coming home!

Chaim starts by saying that he’s in Jerusalem (wearing civilian clothes) and he is so excited because the deal to release the remaining Israeli hostages held in Gaza has been signed and finalized. The hostages will be able to celebrate at least the last day or maybe two days of Succot, the Feast of Tabernacles.

(Day 731) Swords of Iron – “Where are the hostages?”

Chaim starts by talking about how he’s been mobilized in this war for two years, which is 10% of his adult life, and he’s seen and participated in many of the war’s most well-known campaigns. However, now is a special time because it is the Feast of Tabernacles and it’s time for the people of Israel to build temporary, flimsy structures to remind ourselves of the Exodus from Egypt when God watched over us and protected and provided for us despite the desperately insecure situation we were in.
