ARC Israel Updates

Chaim begins by giving a brief rundown of some of the things he’s been dealing with lately including having rockets shot at him and glass shards on the ground in the place where he almost dove to take cover from the rockets. He says there’s danger everywhere, including from the very buildings they’re walking around which could easily collapse at any moment.

But he says “our spirits are high” despite all the danger. He mentions that the IDF has entered Hamas headquarters (aka Shifa Hospital in Gaza City) trying to save the civilians who are there even as they battle Hamas terrorists who are using the facility for their own purposes. The scenes showing all the weapons and military gear that have been found in the hospital remind us that it is indeed being used as a military outpost by Hamas.

He mentions though, that although it’s a very dangerous situation, none of the soldiers under his command have been killed or wounded. He says he keeps a Book of Psalms close to him as he rides into battle on his Humvee, and he quotes one Psalm he found earlier in the day; Psalms 44:5-8; Through You we will push down our enemies; Through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us. For I will not trust in my bow, nor shall my sword save me. But You have saved us from our enemies, and have put to shame those who hated us. In God we boast all day long, and praise Your name forever. Selah

He says this is very encouraging for him and he hopes it’s an encouragement for his viewers as well.

(Day 627) Swords of Iron – “Going Ballistic on Beersheva”

Chaim starts by lamenting the destruction in Ber Sheva that was caused by a last-minute Iranian ballistic missile strike just before the cease-fire went into effect. But, he says, he’s glad to live in a country that cares about its citizens and works hard to protect them, even if sometimes the bad guys land a blow. On that note, Chaim gives some details that are known about what happened in Ber Sheva, including the facts that the missile that struck the building was one of a wave that Iran fired and many more lives could have been lost if people had not been in their bomb shelters.

(Day 625) Swords of Iron – “Kaboom!”

Chaim starts by cheering on the announcement by US President Donald Trump that the US has joined the war against Iran’s nuclear program, defending the free world against one of its most dangerous enemies by destroying the Fordow, Isfahan and Natanz nuclear facilities.

(Day 619) Swords of Iron – “Remember We Didn’t Start This”

Chaim starts by acknowledging that these are difficult times in Israel, with incoming ballistic missiles and drones, cruise missiles and other weapons. Hundreds of people have been rendered homeless and at least 25 have been killed, while many more have been wounded. Israelis have had to run to their bomb shelters on several occasions over the past five days, and sometimes we have to stay there for extended periods, but it’s very important for us to stay safe.
