Update (Day 894) Swords of Iron-Lion’s Roar “Now! 2 killed in Ramat Gan Missile Strike”
Just moments before filming today’s video update in Ramat Gan (central Israel–Tel Aviv area), a missile attack took place just there, and tragically, two people in their 70s lost their lives. Firefighters entered a building that was hit and found them in the stairwell. There was a bomb shelter in the building, but no safe room in their apartment. They tried to reach the “safe space”, but due to disability—they reportedly used walkers—they couldn’t get there in time. It’s heartbreaking.
We need more accessible bomb shelters so people like them have a real chance to survive.
I was nearby when it happened. I heard the interceptors, the explosions, the ambulances. These are intense, difficult times. And yet, Israel is still here. We are still standing.
I often see Israeli and American flags flying together—a reminder that the good guys are standing together as one against this kind of terrorism. It will not continue.
I’ve now been serving in the army reserves for nearly 900 consecutive days since October 7, 2023—about 128 weeks—traveling constantly between the two main battlefronts of Gaza in the far south and Lebanon in the far north as new tunnels are discovered and need to be surveyed and dismantled. That’s nearly 260 trips so far, which i make in my own private car. Each trip costs me about 1,000 shekels in fuel alone—over 250,000 shekels total. The distance I’ve driven these past 2+ years is like circling the globe more than three times.
And still, I’m honored to serve. I’m grateful to stand alongside incredible people who give everything to defend this country.
Friends, thank you for standing with us.
As it says in Zephaniah 3:17: “The Lord your God is with you, the mighty warrior who saves.”
