Update (Day 927) Swords of Iron-Lion’s Roar “Remembering the fallen heroes”
Memorial Day begins now, to remember the fallen soldiers.
You can imagine how I feel after what I’ve been through. But as a nation, we remember 25,648 fallen heroes—soldiers and civilians—who gave their lives to defend this land since 1860, even before the rebirth of this ancient and modern state. In the past year alone, 170 more names were added. Families are shattered.
I sat with a group of soldiers in a circle, talking about remembrance—about gratitude for the time we had with these incredible people, our brothers and sisters.
Then you hear our enemies. The secretary general of Hezbollah says, “We will fight to our last breath, never surrender. We will capture enemy soldiers. Northern Israeli towns will never be safe.” I know that’s what they believe—but we will never let that happen. We are willing to pay the ultimate price if we must, and many already have.
I think of what just happened in Lebanon. Sergeant First Class Lidor Porat, only 31, from the 769th Battalion, from Ashdod, was killed. There are so many more—across Lebanon and Gaza—defending Israel. There are bombs planted in homes, IEDs everywhere. And so many are wounded. I just came from the hospital again. If you care about Israel, share these videos so people understand what we’re going through. People send help—things like supermarket vouchers—but many of the wounded can’t walk, some have lost fingers. It’s a hard time for Israel.
Yet we see incredible bravery. These men and women stand up and dismantle Hezbollah.
What will happen with Iran, the U.S., Israel—what comes next? Look at what already happened: a massive 900-foot vessel tried to break the U.S. blockade and was intercepted by the USS Spruance after multiple warnings. There are still people in this world who are serious, who will stand against evil.
We will stand for what is good—for freedom, for democracy, for our friends, for our brothers to live in peace.
I think of what those 25,600 lives lost gave us: the ability to live in freedom, in the one place in the Middle East where Jews and Arabs can live together in peace.
I believe we will win, even if it takes longer than we want. If stronger measures are needed—targeting infrastructure, ending decades of tyranny in Iran—then so be it. The network of terror—the Houthis, Hezbollah, Hamas—must be stopped.
There are reports of possible escalations, troop movements—we must stay strong and vigilant. We must ensure they never obtain nuclear weapons or continue their missile programs.
There are also positive signs—growing alliances, like Argentina’s support and potential new agreements, similar to the Abraham Accords.
As Israel approaches 78 years, people still want to be here, to stay, to build.
Numbers 23:21—“The Lord their God is with them; the shout of a king is among them.”
The shout of a king is among us. Don’t mess with us.
