Update (Day 985) Swords of Iron “Bad Deal For Israel and the West”
No matter what is written in any agreement, Israel still has to defend itself.
Right now, operations continue against the terrorist regime and its proxies because our people are still being attacked. Even today, five more soldiers were injured. So while leaders talk about deals and memorandums, Israelis are still paying the price on the ground.
Former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence raised serious concerns about this deal, saying it gives Iran sweeping economic benefits without meaningful reciprocal demands. Based on what we know so far, does this deal bring real security—or does it reward aggression?
At the G7, President Trump publicly criticized Israel’s campaign against Hezbollah, saying the fighting has dragged on too long and caused too many deaths. But is that Israel’s fault? Hezbollah continues attacking. Iran continues threatening. Terrorists continue trying to kill our people.
There was reportedly another plot against President Trump’s life that was thwarted, along with threats against Vice President Vance, senior Trump officials, and even Prime Minister Netanyahu. These terrorists must be dealt with as such.
Trump says he opposes strikes that bring down buildings with civilians inside. Of course. Israel does everything it can to warn civilians and move them out of harm’s way. No other army in the world does that to the extent Israel does.
Reports say Israeli officials asked the United States to show them the actual text of the memorandum and were denied. Others say Israel doesn’t need to see a private agreement it isn’t party to and should simply trust Washington. But Israel’s security cannot be outsourced to anyone.
There is good news too: Somaliland has decided to open an embassy in Jerusalem. More nations are recognizing the truth and standing with Israel in our capital.
How can we guarantee Hezbollah won’t rearm? How can we guarantee Iran won’t rebuild its nuclear program under a mountain, in secret, while sanctions are lifted and billions flow back into the regime?
We are now in a 60-day negotiation window that will determine the final status of nuclear restrictions, oil relief, sanctions, and more. But from what we hear, the agreement releases frozen Iranian funds right away and does not clearly require dismantling Iran’s nuclear program. It only says they cannot produce nuclear weapons.
That is not enough.
If the head of the terror octopus takes this as a win against the West, what lesson does it teach every proxy and terror group? It makes them think that it pays, not fails.
Ecclesiastes says there is a time for peace and a time for war, and that God will judge the righteous and the wicked, and will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.
