Day 319 Swords of Iron – “Hostage bodies rescued”

Chaim starts out by describing how in Israel, every street sign is in Hebrew, English and Arabic because Hebrew and Arabic are both official languages of the country and English is the international language that most visitors will be able to use. He then points out that he’s filming this video in a Bedouin tent and the rockets that Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations are firing at Israel don’t ask if the people they kill, maim and wound are Jews, Arabs, Druze, or whatever.

Chaim says that this war needs to stop, but a nation state must protect and defend its citizens, and Israel is doing that with God’s help. In this context he quotes Psalms 34:17-18; The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.

Chaim says that he is clinging to this verse as this war drags on and the tragedies keep coming. He points out that he and his comrades have been trying to find hostages alive but in the last 24 hours, the remains of 6 hostages who died in captivity were recovered in Khan Yunis.

He also mentions that he is glad to be a part of the Ya’alom combat engineering unit that gets to demolish terror tunnels. He says that in Khan Yunis and elsewhere they have had the opportunity recently to do that, demolishing some very large and serious tunnels.

Chaim then speaks about these six hostages whose remains were recovered, telling his viewers their names and a little bit about them.

He then switches his focus to talk about Iran and the threats they are making against Israel. He says that after the prayer meetings that were held at the Aliyah Return Center and many other places on Tisha B’Av, there was natural disasters in Syria, Lebanon and Yemen which made it more difficult for Israel’s enemies to strike. This made Chaim feel like everything will be okay.

He also mentions the ongoing negotiations to bring about a cease-fire in Gaza and release the remaining Israeli hostages. Chaim doesn’t think that this will have the desired result.

He also mentions that Hezbollah remains poised to strike Israel, but Israel is prepared and will do what it must to defend its people, with faith in God and the prophetic promises of a better future.

The video ends with a demonstration of some of the ways that supporters of the Aliyah Return Center are helping to care for the people of Israel, both new immigrants and veteran Israelis.

(Day 627) Swords of Iron – “Going Ballistic on Beersheva”

Chaim starts by lamenting the destruction in Ber Sheva that was caused by a last-minute Iranian ballistic missile strike just before the cease-fire went into effect. But, he says, he’s glad to live in a country that cares about its citizens and works hard to protect them, even if sometimes the bad guys land a blow. On that note, Chaim gives some details that are known about what happened in Ber Sheva, including the facts that the missile that struck the building was one of a wave that Iran fired and many more lives could have been lost if people had not been in their bomb shelters.

(Day 625) Swords of Iron – “Kaboom!”

Chaim starts by cheering on the announcement by US President Donald Trump that the US has joined the war against Iran’s nuclear program, defending the free world against one of its most dangerous enemies by destroying the Fordow, Isfahan and Natanz nuclear facilities.

(Day 619) Swords of Iron – “Remember We Didn’t Start This”

Chaim starts by acknowledging that these are difficult times in Israel, with incoming ballistic missiles and drones, cruise missiles and other weapons. Hundreds of people have been rendered homeless and at least 25 have been killed, while many more have been wounded. Israelis have had to run to their bomb shelters on several occasions over the past five days, and sometimes we have to stay there for extended periods, but it’s very important for us to stay safe.
