Update (Day 949) Swords of Iron “Secret Mission”

Well, it’s hit the news: a recent secret operation lasting about a week saw Egoz and the Golani Reconnaissance Unit cross the Litani River in Lebanon northward and operate near the outskirts of Zawtar al-Sharqiya, about 10 kilometers from Israeli territory.

Wow. These forces are unbelievably brave.

During the operation, Hezbollah launched repeated attacks—mortars, shelling, and other munitions. Until now, the mission had been kept quiet. There were several close-range engagements, with Hezbollah terrorists emerging from tunnels and hidden infrastructure to attack our soldiers.

One IDF soldier was seriously wounded in one of these encounters, and a K9 dog from the Oketz (“Sting”) Unit was killed. The terrorists came out of a tunnel near the Litani River, proving once again that Hezbollah has built dangerous infrastructure right near us in southern Lebanon.

Our forces engaged them directly.

The crossing of the Litani was carried out using armored vehicles, including Namer (“Tiger”) APCs, and it proved something important: Israel can cross this terrain when needed—and can do it again in the future. Enemies beware.

The drone threat remains serious; their suicide drones crash directly into their targets with a massive explosion, and they are extremely dangerous. But Israel is already moving toward solutions: building better drones for surveillance, defense, and counterattack.

We will protect our people—from the north to the south, and everywhere in between.

This will be the safest place on earth for the Jewish people. Enemies should think carefully before messing with Israel.

As David said before facing Goliath in 1 Samuel 17:47: “It is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s.”

Victory is happening, my friends.
