Update (Day 957) Swords of Iron “Publicity Stunts”

President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu had a lengthy, dramatic phone call about what almost happened—and what may happen very soon: finishing the job against Iran, the head of the octopus of terror, and its proxies.

Those proxies are still active. Hezbollah continues launching suicide drones and attacks. Just yesterday, a Hezbollah terrorist hid inside a church in the Christian village of Al-Quzah in southern Lebanon and opened fire on IDF soldiers—our boys and girls in green defending Israel and the free world.

Where is the outrage from the Christian world? This was a heinous act: exploiting a holy site for terrorism and desecrating a place of prayer. Yet the silence is striking. When a church is accidentally hit in Gaza, the world rushes to blame Israel. But Israel does not target churches. The truth is simple: terror cannot be allowed in churches, mosques, schools, tunnels, or anywhere else. Terror does not pay. Cut it out.

Then there are the flotillas—the PR stunts, the “selfie ships,” people like Greta Thunberg and others trying to force their way into a war zone. These vessels brought no real humanitarian aid. And even if they had, aid must go through the proper channels. In times like these, boats must be checked. Israel cannot allow unchecked vessels to breach a maritime blockade during war.

Around 430 activists were arrested and transferred to Israeli custody, where they are expected to meet with consular representatives. Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir met them and called them out as Hamas supporters. Some say that plays into their PR trap—but he was right to expose what this is: not humanitarian work, but provocation.

At the same time, Israel’s political scene is shifting. The Knesset plenum approved, in preliminary reading, a bill to dissolve itself—with 110 members in favor and no opposition. Does that mean elections are definitely coming? We’ll see. These are very interesting times.

Meanwhile, the U.S. has reportedly informed Pakistan of another offer regarding Iran. Washington is making clear it will not offer concessions on nuclear demands or on the Strait of Hormuz. Iran says it will not agree. So the pressure continues.

As Shavuot approaches—the time we remember receiving the Torah—we turn again to Scripture. Psalm 46:8–11 says:

Come, behold the works of the Lord… He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two… Be still, and know that I am God… The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.”

And remember: Jacob’s name was changed to Israel.

The Lord of hosts is with us.
