Update (Day 961) Swords of Iron “The Irony”
The hypocrisy and double standards toward Israel are staggering. We are the original indigenous people of this land, rooted here for thousands of years in Scripture and archaeology. We are a small minority in the world, a persecuted people whose families fled as refugees—yet somehow we are called “colonizers” and “oppressors.”
Look at the flotilla activists. They illegally entered the waters of a sovereign country during a time of war—without permits, without inspection, without security checks. What would the U.S. Navy do if foreign boats tried to enter American territory like that? What would any country do?
Israel apprehended them, and the world rushed to criticize. Then came the irony: Spain, which condemned Israel, had its own confrontation with these same activists. Spanish police handled them far more aggressively than Israel did—yet where is the outrage? Where are the accusations? That is hypocrisy.
Meanwhile, Iran continues proving why it cannot be trusted. Reports say an Iran-linked plot targeted Ivanka Trump as revenge for the U.S. strike on Qasem Soleimani in 2020. The alleged plot involved Muhammad Bakr Saad al-Saadi, tied to Kata’ib Hezbollah and the IRGC. This is the regime people expect America to make a deal with?
You cannot negotiate in good faith with a regime trying to assassinate the family of the president it is negotiating with. Iran thinks the West is foolish. It plays games, uses delay tactics, and hides behind diplomacy while funding terror.
Now there are reports of a possible 60-day Memorandum of Understanding between the U.S. and Iran in which Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz and remove naval mines. But the strait was open before they created the crisis. How does returning to the starting point solve the deeper problem?
The real issue is Iran’s terror regime, its nuclear ambitions, and its proxies—Hezbollah, Hamas, and others. A relief-for-performance structure may sound reasonable, but what happens if Iran takes the money, removes some stockpiles, and then secretly rebuilds enrichment later? That is exactly the concern.
And what about Hezbollah? If this deal pressures Israel to hold back while Hezbollah continues launching explosive drones at us, then our hands are being tied while terror keeps operating. That cannot happen.
We must remain vigilant. We cannot capitulate to terror. Israel must continue defending itself against Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, and every force that threatens our people.
The world may judge Israel by one standard and everyone else by another—but truth still matters. Sovereignty matters. Security matters. And we Jewish people have the right to defend our ancient homeland.
At the end of today’s video update I recite God’s command to Joshua (1:9) in Hebrew, to be strong and courageous, neither afraid nor worried, because He is with us wherever we go.
