Swords of Iron Day 1065: Iran Fires Ballistic Missiles Over Jordan
I know this seems unfathomable after everything we have been through. Yet on Swords of Iron Day 1065, are we really surprised that Iran fired ballistic missiles toward Jordan on Shabbat?
They were intercepted over Jordan, right next door to us. However, interception is not the same as resolution. It is not over.
That is the whole message of this update. You cannot blink. The moment Israel looks away, the moment the free world decides the pressure can ease, our enemies read it exactly the way you would expect them to read it.
Pickaxe Mountain and the Threat That Has to End
President Trump says the United States may strike Pickaxe Mountain soon. That is the deeply buried nuclear site Iran has been digging near Natanz, and it exists for one reason. The regime wants a capability the world has told it repeatedly it cannot have.
The nuclear threat and the apocalyptic ambitions of the IRGC cannot be allowed to reach the finish line. Trump says this would be a limited military conflict, but that the threat itself would be ended. He has backed his words with action before, so I have no reason to doubt him now.
Hezbollah Tests Israel Again on Swords of Iron Day 1065
Hezbollah launched a drone toward an IDF position. Our troops shot it down and nobody was injured. In response, Israel struck Hezbollah positions, weapons storage sites, and infrastructure across southern Lebanon.
They still have not learned the lesson. Furthermore, every one of these probes is a test of whether Israel will answer. So far the answer has been yes, and it needs to stay yes.
A False Alarm in Gaza and Why the Yellow Line Matters
In southern Gaza on Swords of Iron Day 1065 there was a false alarm. For a moment it looked like fire was coming out of Gaza, and it turned out not to be a real attack.
Here is the part worth sitting with. It could have been real. It could be real tomorrow if we back off and give up the yellow line. That line is not a technicality on a map. It is the difference between a threat we can see coming and a threat that arrives without warning.
Swords of Iron Day 1065: Iran Takes Aim at American Warships
Swords of Iron Day 1065 also brought reports that Iran fired ballistic missiles toward two United States Navy warships. CENTCOM says the action is linked to an IRGC connected oil network trying to evade the American blockade.
Pete Hegseth warned that attacks on American ships could lead to Iranian oil tankers being destroyed or sunk. That is the right posture. Do not play games with America and the free world, because the bill for that arrives faster than the regime expects.
The Attempt to Target Yair Netanyahu
On Swords of Iron Day 1065 we also saw attempts to target Yair Netanyahu. His phone was hacked and his security arrangements were being probed. Prime Minister Netanyahu accused journalists of recklessly publishing his son’s location and apartment details.
This is a warning for all of us, not only for a prime minister’s family. Security information posted online does not stay online. It travels, and it reaches people who are looking for exactly that kind of detail.
Iran’s Currency Is Collapsing Under American Pressure
The American campaign to squeeze Iran economically is taking a real toll, and Swords of Iron Day 1065 showed how deep it goes. The rial has reportedly fallen to less than half the value it held against the dollar a year ago. That is not a dip. That is a collapse.
Remember what that money was funding. Rockets for Hezbollah, salaries for Hamas, drones for the Houthis, and proxies stretching from Baghdad to Sanaa. When the regime cannot pay, the whole network feels it.
Syria’s Hidden Reactor and the Pattern Nobody Should Miss
In Syria, the IAEA confirmed that the Assad regime had built a covert nuclear reactor near Deir ez-Zor, modeled on North Korea’s Yongbyon design. The facility reportedly produced weapons grade plutonium and held large quantities of uranium and reactor materials.
Notice the pattern on Swords of Iron Day 1065. A dictatorship builds in secret, denies everything, and counts on the world being too polite to check. Meanwhile there are plans to bypass the Strait of Hormuz with enormous pipelines across Saudi Arabia, creating another oil route that will need protecting. The map of this region keeps changing, and every change creates something new to defend.
Zechariah 10 and the Strength That Holds
With all of that on the table at the end of Swords of Iron Day 1065, I am still encouraged. Zechariah 10 says the Lord will strengthen the house of Judah and save the house of Joseph, because He is their God and He will hear them.
Read that carefully. The promise is not that the threats disappear. The promise is that we are strengthened, saved, and heard while the threats are still standing in front of us. That is real encouragement for a week like this one.
Thank you to everyone around the world who gives thermal cameras and equipment to our soldiers. When you give, you are helping to save lives, and the men in the field know exactly where that gear came from.
I serve as a sergeant major, and one of the running jokes around here is that you can always tell a sergeant, but you cannot tell him much. We laugh, and then we go back to work, because that is what this stage of the war asks of us.
So here is where I land on Swords of Iron Day 1065. Iran is firing missiles across the region, Hezbollah is probing our lines, and hidden reactors keep turning up in places that swore they had nothing to hide. None of that is a reason to look away. It is the reason not to. Don’t blink.
