Swords of Iron Day 1062: Another Night on the Northern Border
It is windy up here near the Lebanon border. Just another night, another mission. Almost three years have passed since October 7, and I am simply thankful to be alive. That is not a figure of speech. On Swords of Iron Day 1062 there are men standing in the cold on this ridge who will never get a headline, a medal or a thank you, and they are standing there anyway.
I am thankful for the people who care. For the people who pray for Israel. For the people who appreciate what we do on these missions and who ask the question that always catches me off guard. Do you guys have everything you need, uniforms, equipment, gear? It means more than you know. We are not alone up here. We stand together while our guys put everything on the line to defend this country.
Commandos Restoring Security in Gaza City
While we were on the ridge, something remarkable happened in the south, and it became the story of Swords of Iron Day 1062. Arab media released footage of a special operation that went deep into Gaza City and pulled a senior Hamas figure out alive.
The man is Muin al Arabid, a central figure in the Hamas internal security and counterintelligence apparatus. Israel did not eliminate him in an airstrike. A force took him. He crossed into Israel wounded, and he sits in Israeli hands right now.
I want to be careful and accurate here, because credibility matters more than a good headline. According to Israeli reporting, IDF Southern Command directed the hours long operation and provided aerial cover, while local Gaza militias fighting Hamas carried out the ground assault. Hamas, meanwhile, claims that Israeli intelligence penetrated its ranks after months of deception. Either way, the message to Hamas is identical. Gaza City is not a safe room anymore.
Why Taking Him Alive Matters More Than a Strike
A dead terrorist takes everything with him. A living one talks.
Every name he gives up is a future arrest. Every tunnel he draws is a route we close. And each detail he remembers about hostages, about weapons depots, about who funds what and who reports to whom, becomes intelligence that saves Israeli lives and shortens this war. That is why an operation like this matters far beyond the video circulating online.
In short, this is what restoring security actually looks like on Swords of Iron Day 1062. Not a slogan. Not a press conference. A small group of people who walk into the worst place on earth and come back carrying the one thing money cannot buy.
Swords of Iron Day 1062: America Moves in the Strait of Hormuz
At the same time, the United States is striking Iranian targets at sea. Reports describe American strikes on the engine rooms of Iranian government oil tankers anchored off Iran’s coast. It follows Iranian attacks on commercial shipping and the laying of naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
So understand what is at stake. A huge share of the world’s oil moves through that narrow channel of water. Iran knows it. That is exactly why the regime keeps reaching for it. When Tehran cannot win a war, it tries to take the global economy hostage instead.
Therefore the goal now is simple. Keep the strait open. Clear the mines. Make the price of closing that waterway higher than Iran is willing to pay.
Germany Is Firing an Israeli Missile in the North Atlantic
Germany has successfully tested Israel’s LORA ballistic missile, launched from a German naval vessel in the North Atlantic. Israel Aerospace Industries builds LORA. It reaches targets roughly four hundred kilometers away with pinpoint accuracy, and Berlin is now moving toward procurement as part of its push for real long range strike capability.
Sit with that for a second, because it is the quiet headline of Swords of Iron Day 1062. Eighty years ago Jews were being murdered in gas chambers on German soil. Today the German Navy fires Israeli missiles to help defend Europe. Think about that.
Still, I am not saying history is healed. I am saying history is not finished. And the Jewish people are not a footnote in it.
You Cannot Manufacture Innocence
The other story of Swords of Iron Day 1062 is the Hollywood figures campaigning for the release of Marwan Barghouti. Barghouti is a convicted terrorist serving five life sentences for his role in attacks that murdered Israelis. An Israeli court heard the evidence. Families buried their children.
Yet a murderer does not become innocent because celebrities sign a letter. Fame is not a legal argument. Sympathy is not evidence. You cannot manufacture innocence.
A friend of mine started a site called No Marwan with one simple message. Know who you are dealing with. And if you truly want to advocate for prisoners, advocate for the hostages still held underground in Gaza. No court has convicted them of anything at all.
A Warning We Were Given Long Ago
Deuteronomy warns Israel not to learn or follow the abominable practices of the nations around us. Child sacrifice. Molech. Necromancy. Every form of evil that dresses itself up as tradition and then demands that somebody else’s child pay the bill.
However, that warning is not a museum piece. Read it again, then look at what happened on October 7. Look at who filmed it. Look at who cheered. The names change. The flags change. The spirit behind it does not.
Israel was called to be different. Not perfect. Different. That is the whole assignment, and on Swords of Iron Day 1062 it is still the reason we are here.
