Chaim begins by pointing out that it’s the seventh night of Hanukkah, the festival that celebrates the defeat of light over darkness. He then, saying it’s very relevent for the times we’re living in, quotes Psalms 3; Lord, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. Many are they who say of me, “There is no help for him in God.” Selah But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to the Lord with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill. Selah
I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. Arise, O Lord; Save me, O my God! For You have struck all my enemies on the cheekbone; You have broken the teeth of the ungodly. Salvation belongs to the Lord. Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah
Then he talks about some of the action that IDF soldiers have been seeing this week, including a sad day when 10 were killed in action including senior officers, who lead from the front as is the tradition in the IDF.
He also mentions an investigation that’s been opened into the use of toxic gas by Hamas during it’s October 7th attack against Israel. He also talks about the Turkish parliamentarian who made a speech cursing Israel and had a heart attack immediately afterward. He says this is an example of how important it is to be careful how one treats Israel.
He then mentions how Israel is meant to be a light to the nations and Beleivers in Yeshua are meant to let their lights shine forth in a dark world. He says that hundreds of thousands of Israelis are waiting for a miracle to happen so they can go home to their communities which are on the borders, in the conflict zones. The Aliyah Return Center has been privileged to help many of these people in this crisis.
Speaking of which, Chaim says he’s looking forward to another barbecue for the soldiers, which is such an important morale booster. Chaim concludes by urging his viewers to keep standing in the gap and praying for Israel, and wishes them happy hanukkah.
