Day 226 Swords of Iron – “Teach Truth”

Chaim begins the video by telling us that he’s filming inside a mosque in Rafah, and he talks about the bodies of hostages that have recently been recovered by the IDF. He says that the source of the hatred that drove the massacre on October 7th came from the preaching in mosques like the one he’s filming in, and he asks God to avenge those who were mercilessly murdered. He also asks God to bring back those hostages who are still alive, and admits that he doesn’t even know how many there might be.

Next he mentions how many tunnels the Ya’alom combat engineering unit he’s part of has been finding, and there’s still a lot of work to do.

Next, Chaim talks about the different plans which are being discussed for  post-war settlement in the Gaza Strip. Benny Gantz, leader of the National Unity party and a minister-without-portfolio in the emergency wartime cabinet, has given Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu an ultimatum that a solid plan must be in place by June 8th, or he’ll bolt the coalition and possibly force new elections.

Gantz’s demands are that a plan include the return of all remaining hostages, the complete toppling of Hamas, the establishment of a multi-national coalition to administer the Gaza Strip, the return of the residents of northern towns to their homes, a normalization agreement with Saudi Arabia and last but certainly not least, the end of exemptions from military service for the haredi (Ultra-Orthodox).

Chaim also mentions the apparent crash of the presidential helicopter in Iran, saying that this accident would be another blow to the Ayatollah regime which rules that country.

He then says that it seems like the whole world is becoming mentally unstable, with people simply enraged and not willing to listen to the truth.

Chaim concludes by counting the Omer for day 26.

(Day 864) Swords of Iron – “Red Lines”

It’s unbelievable—almost incomprehensible. Ahead of Phase Two of President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan to clear the rubble and rebuild, Hamas was required to disarm and leave. Instead, they’re now saying they want to retain political control of Gaza—perhaps not as a military force, but as a governing entity. That is unacceptable. Israel has made it unequivocally clear: there will be no Hamas involvement in Gaza’s administration under any circumstances. Period.

(Day 863) Swords of Iron – “Internal-External pressures”

We are definitely in the Middle East; intense dust storms covered the region in recent days—it’s just wild. But what’s even more concerning is that Hamas continues to blatantly violate the ceasefire. The yellow line means nothing to them, nor does northern Gaza. Armed terrorists emerged from underground infrastructure, attempting to pose an imminent threat to our troops. Thankfully, our guys were able to neutralize them and eliminate the threat. We can’t move forward with any plans for rebuilding—like gas development—until they disarm and withdraw.

(Day 862) Swords of Iron – “Rammifications”

It’s good to be out of uniform for the weekend.
But when I hear that Ivy League students at places like Columbia are chanting slogans like “there is only one solution – intifada revolution” or calling terror tunnels “anti-colonial resistance,” I have to ask – what are we teaching the next generation? We must safeguard the future by ensuring people are educated with truth, not deception.

(Day 861) Swords of Iron – “Getting to the bottom of this”

Shabbat shalom my friends!
As we carry out intense missions throughout Gaza, please pray for us—the IDF, the soldiers of Israel, and the victory of good over evil, light over darkness. Things are shifting globally and here in Gaza, maybe not as quickly or neatly as we’d like, but there is always hope and a light at the end of the (Hamas) tunnel (pun intended).
