Day 258 Swords of Iron – Operations
The video starts out showing a clip from a video Chaim made following Operation Protective Edge in 2014, in which he thanks his supporters for the gifts they sent of equipment to help him and his comrades in their mission. This included combat boots, headlamps, knives and other gear.
The scene shifts to the present war in Gaza, with a caption “who could have guessed that history would repeat itself”?
Chaim says that amidst all the difficulties, he is always reminded of Joshua 1:9; Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
He says that the current war is just a continuation of the story of the Jewish People from Biblical times, in which there were always those who rose up to try and destroy us but with God’s help, we overcame.
He lists some of the other battles from more recent times, including Operation Cast Lead, Operation Grapes of Wrath and Operation Northern Shield. Chaim fought in many of these battles, and he sees the present crisis as just another battle to defend the plans and purposes of God from the attacks of the Enemy.
He also cites Operation Moses, the airlift of Jews from Ethiopia and Operation Magic Carpet which airlifted Jews from Yemen. These operations were just as important in their own way as all the kinetic battles.
Chaim then says that the looming battle with Hezbollah in Lebanon is going to be bigger than all those previous battles, and it’s a threat to Israel’s very existence. This is because behind Hezbollah is Iran and Russia, which just signed a strategic pact with North Korea.
Chaim says in the face of this threat, he is reminded of Psalms 91:7; A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you.
He says that now is the time to be strong and courageous and to not back down, but to run towards the enemy knowing that the Lord our God is with us to give us the victory.
