ARC Mini Blog for Day 286 Swords of Iron – Who can we trust in?

Chaim starts the video with footage he took last October, shortly after the Hamas massacre of Gaza border communities. He then comes into the present by talking about how this horrific incident is still haunting Israelis. He says that many Israelis are still needing therapy for this and the continuing PTSD that many have.

He also talks about hostages who were held in the Gaza tunnels, and he talks about all the healing they’re going to need. He talks about Sapir Cohen, a hostage who was rescued, saying that she were told she would never be rescued and otherwise mentally and emotionally abused her and other hostages.

Chaim says there’s a lot of upheaval in the Land of Israel and a lot of people who don’t know who to trust or what to believe. People have questions about whether or not they should trust the political echelon, trust in the military is also falling. Chaim says that ultimately it is only God Himself in whom we should have trust.

In this context, Chaim quotes Psalms 93:4; The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea.

He also quotes Deuteronomy 31:6; Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

He concludes by quoting Genesis 12:7; Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.

Chaim adds that this promise was repeated to Abraham’s descendants several times, including the passage when God gave Jacob his new name, “Israel.”

(Day 596) Swords of Iron – “Trudging on as Shavuot (Pentecost) approaches”

Chaim starts by saying that he’s preparing to attend the funeral of Yaron Lischinsky, 30, and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, 26, two young Israelis diplomats who were murdered in Washington DC by a Pro-Palestinian terrorist last week. Israeli diplomatic missions around the world have increased their security and they are also flying their flags at half mast this week, even as some American officials including US Representative Ilan Omar of Minnesota coldly declined to comment on the attack.

(Day 595) Swords of Iron – “Devastated”

Chaim starts by talking about how difficult Israel’s situation remains, since there are ballistic missiles being fired at Israel by the Houthis in Yemen and ongoing fighting in Gaza and elsewhere.

(Day 594) Swords of Iron – “Brainwash”

Chaim starts out by saying how devastated he is at the news that Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, two staff members at the Israeli Embassy in Washington DC, were murdered by a pro-Palestinian terrorist in Washington DC on Thursday. Yaron is the son of a well-known tour guide here in Israel, and his family is part of Israel’s Believer community.

(Day 593) Swords of Iron – “Hellbent on Israel’s Destruction”

Chaim starts out by saying that big things are in the offing as China has told all its citizens in Israel to leave the country immediately, as nuclear talks between the US and Iran appear to be breaking down. Israel is determined not to allow Iran to get nuclear weapons and Iran shows no signs of backing down. There is a real chance that full-scale war between Iran and Israel is about to break out.
