Day 409 Swords of Iron – “Is it Possible to Have A Change of Heart”

Chaim starts by saying that he loves the smell of fresh air after rain, and it has been raining is Israel these last few days. He says he wants to commend all the soldiers who are defending Israel, who are out in the rain and the cold doing it.

He also mentions that the world seems to be getting more and more bizarre, with Turkey refusing to allow Israeli President Isaac Herzog to fly to an international conference through their air space. Turkey has also decided to give shelter to the Hamas leadership who have recently been kicked out of Qatar.

Chaim says it’s crazy to give shelter to terrorists, and he cites another example of Hezbollah shooting a rocket that hit a synagogue in Haifa. He says that this can’t go on, there has to be a stop to it. He says that he sees things changing only when hearts change, and he sees that coming soon.

But in the meantime, the IDF continues to find, clean out and destroy Hezbollah terror infrastructure in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah is also trying to find a way to agree to a US-proposed cease-fire, which Chaim says will see them retreating north of the Litani River. But they will have to be persuaded to do that and the US is putting a lot of pressure on them to do it.

But, Chaim says, someday this war will end, and when it does there will be a resumption of the expanding Abraham Accords which will fuel an economic boom in Israel and a large influx of new immigrants.

In this context, Chaim quotes Psalms 143:12; In Your mercy cut off my enemies, and destroy all those who afflict my soul; for I am Your servant.

(Day 761) Swords of Iron – “Lebanon, cast terror out!”

Chaim starts by saying that he was in Lebanon recently and the jihadists of Hezbollah have not learned their lesson. They’re continuing to rearm, reorganize and prepare to take another shot at Israel, despite the pounding they received in the campaign a year ago this month. The Lebanese National Army is also not doing what it’s supposed to do in disarming Hezbollah. So the IDF now has to go back into Lebanon in a big way and take care of business.

(Day 760) Swords of Iron – ”Inevitable”

Chaim starts by saying that it’s kind of satisfying to see the inevitable destruction of the tunnels and other terrorist infrastructure in Gaza and southern Lebanon. Chaim says that the wicked might prosper for a season, but the righteous always prevail in the end.

(Day 759) Swords of Iron – “Iraq Next?“

Chaim starts by saying things are not really calming down right now, despite the “ceasefire” in Gaza. There are reports that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps is arming and training the Badr Brigades and other Shi’ite militias in Iraq for a move against Israel in the future, and they’re also continuing to arm and fund Hezbollah in Lebanon, although not with the same level of support they’re giving to the Iraqi militias.
