Day 423 Swords of Iron – “Allepo Has Fallen”

Chaim starts the video by telling his viewers that he is filming in the “Shuk” or market, in Israel’s capital city of Jerusalem. He contrasts the normalcy of the scene with the utter chaos in Syria, where jihadist rebel groups backed by Turkey have taken control of Aleppo, the second largest city in Syria. The Assad regime which rules Syria is supported by Iran and Russia, and all of them try to support Hezbollah, which is a mortal enemy of Israel.

However, the Assad regime’s loss is not necessarily Israel’s gain, because these Turkish-backed jihadist groups are not friends of Israel either. If they take control of Syria and bring their forces up to Israel’s border, that would be a big problem.

Chaim talks about how Hamas is still a problem in the Gaza Strip, but they don’t present the same level of threat to Israel that they did a year ago. The IDF has greatly diminished its power, although they’re still launching harassing attacks on IDF troops inside Gaza.

Chaim says he wants to push back against the narrative that Gaza is an “open-air prison” because he says there were many very expensive houses there and there were many people who lived very well, but these were mostly Hamas supporters who got their wealth by stealing from the ordinary people of Gaza. They also weaponized these people against Israel and used them as human shields to try and protect themselves from Israel’s retaliation for their attacks. This led to some of them being casualties, despite the IDF doing everything possible to protect them.

Chaim says there should be some grace for the IDF soldiers, most of whom are reservists whose full-time occupation has nothing to do with soldiering, who nonetheless did their best.

Chaim also acknowledges that there is frustration among these soldiers with the length of this war, and with the fact that most of the Orthodox Jewish men are not serving in the IDF and other issues. Despite all that, the general feeling is that there is still a need for a decisive victory so that October 7th will never happen again, not on the Gaza border and not in Galilee.

The video concludes with Chaim quoting Psalms 29:1-8; Give unto the Lord, O you mighty ones, give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; The Lord is over many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars, yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon. He makes them also skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox. The voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire.  The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; the Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.

(Day 627) Swords of Iron – “Going Ballistic on Beersheva”

Chaim starts by lamenting the destruction in Ber Sheva that was caused by a last-minute Iranian ballistic missile strike just before the cease-fire went into effect. But, he says, he’s glad to live in a country that cares about its citizens and works hard to protect them, even if sometimes the bad guys land a blow. On that note, Chaim gives some details that are known about what happened in Ber Sheva, including the facts that the missile that struck the building was one of a wave that Iran fired and many more lives could have been lost if people had not been in their bomb shelters.

(Day 625) Swords of Iron – “Kaboom!”

Chaim starts by cheering on the announcement by US President Donald Trump that the US has joined the war against Iran’s nuclear program, defending the free world against one of its most dangerous enemies by destroying the Fordow, Isfahan and Natanz nuclear facilities.

(Day 619) Swords of Iron – “Remember We Didn’t Start This”

Chaim starts by acknowledging that these are difficult times in Israel, with incoming ballistic missiles and drones, cruise missiles and other weapons. Hundreds of people have been rendered homeless and at least 25 have been killed, while many more have been wounded. Israelis have had to run to their bomb shelters on several occasions over the past five days, and sometimes we have to stay there for extended periods, but it’s very important for us to stay safe.
