Day 177

Chaim starts the video by explaining that he is back in the IDF after a short period of R&R with his family. He is surprised to hear that there is a plan being tossed around to send a force of soldiers from Sunni Arab countries including Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE and possibly Egypt and others to enforce a cease-fire in Gaza as well as even Judea and Samaria.

Chaim then reminds hiis viewers that it is vitally important that the IDF complete the mission of destroying Hamas by entering Rafah and finishing off the remaining Hamas formations there.

He also reminds his viewers that Passover is coming up and it’s a time when many Israelis like to travel abroad. But he wonders if it’s safe to do so this year due to all the raging anti-Semitism all over the world. He urges his viewers to keep travelling Israelis in prayer so that they will be safe during this fraught time.

He also asks his viewers to pray for the hostages who have been released and also IDF soldiers who have been released from reserve duty as many are suffering severe PTSD and are struggling to get back to normal life.

He asks anyone who is watching the video who has training in counseling to come and volunteer with the Aliyah Return Center to help out with this need.

He also mentions that many people are struggling financially as the economy is suffering because of the war. He mentions all the businesses that have closed, especially in tourism and hospitality.

Chaim quoates Isaiah 41:10-11; Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Behold, all those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced; They shall be as nothing, and those who strive with you shall perish.

Next, he mentions an upcoming solar eclipse on April 8 and he mentions several historical events that happened in the vicinity of such “signs in the heavens.” But he cautions against reading too much into this one, saying that no matter what this solar eclipse might or might not portend, now is definitely a good time to seek God and stop wasting time on vanities and useless nonsense.

To drive home this point, he quotes Ecclesiaties 12:1-8

Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, and the years draw near when you say, “I have no pleasure in them”: While the sun and the light, the moon and the stars, are not darkened, and the clouds do not return after the rain;

In the day when the keepers of the house tremble, and the strong men bow down; When the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look through the windows grow dim; When the doors are shut in the streets, and the sound of grinding is low; when one rises up at the sound of a bird, and all the daughters of music are brought low.

Also they are afraid of height, and of terrors in the way; When the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper is a burden, and desire fails. For man goes to his eternal home, and the mourners go about the streets.

Remember your Creator before the silver cord is loosed, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher shattered at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the well.

Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.

“Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher, “All is vanity.”

(Day 627) Swords of Iron – “Going Ballistic on Beersheva”

Chaim starts by lamenting the destruction in Ber Sheva that was caused by a last-minute Iranian ballistic missile strike just before the cease-fire went into effect. But, he says, he’s glad to live in a country that cares about its citizens and works hard to protect them, even if sometimes the bad guys land a blow. On that note, Chaim gives some details that are known about what happened in Ber Sheva, including the facts that the missile that struck the building was one of a wave that Iran fired and many more lives could have been lost if people had not been in their bomb shelters.

(Day 625) Swords of Iron – “Kaboom!”

Chaim starts by cheering on the announcement by US President Donald Trump that the US has joined the war against Iran’s nuclear program, defending the free world against one of its most dangerous enemies by destroying the Fordow, Isfahan and Natanz nuclear facilities.

(Day 619) Swords of Iron – “Remember We Didn’t Start This”

Chaim starts by acknowledging that these are difficult times in Israel, with incoming ballistic missiles and drones, cruise missiles and other weapons. Hundreds of people have been rendered homeless and at least 25 have been killed, while many more have been wounded. Israelis have had to run to their bomb shelters on several occasions over the past five days, and sometimes we have to stay there for extended periods, but it’s very important for us to stay safe.
