ARC Israel Updates

Chaim starts by expressing outrage at a Hamas terror attack at a bus stop in Jerusalem, which ended with four Israelis dead, along with the two Hamas terrorists who attacked them, who were killed by return fire from a soldier and an armed civilian who were nearby.

Chaim mentions that this attack came amidst a “cease-fire” in Gaza, and that along with Hamas not giving an updated list of hostages they were willing to release, it endangered that cease-fire.

Before moving on, Chaim says he wants to take a moment to talk about the soldier who responded to the shooting attack, a man named Roi Eisenbach, a member of the Golani Brigade in the IDF. Chaim says he’s an example of how important it is for Israelis to carry weapons and be ready to defend themselves and others at all times. He says he wants to “give a shout-out” to his brother Moshe Malespin who has an organization called “Arm Israeli Citizens” which tries to do just what the name implies by helping Israeli citizens with the paperwork and other necessary steps to acquiring a firearm.

Chaim then switches to talking about the hostages who have been released, including young Emily Hand who is suffering from such trauma that she can’t even speak. There are many other hostages who were released and are suffering from obvious trauma. Chaim says we’re all wondering if the others who remain in captivity are even still alive, and if so, what conditions they are enduring.

He says this war isn’t just between Israel and Hamas, but between good and evil, and he says that the good must be strong and take a stand. He says we must teach our children to do what’s right, and he quotes Deuteronomy 6:7-9; You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

He says that the Palestinians have been teaching their children a different way for generations and the results speak for themselves. He says that beyond that, nations are taking a stand, for truth and righteousness, or for lies and deceit.

Chaim quotes Exodus 17:8: 8 Now Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim. Because so many people are comparing Hamas to Amalek, and also in that story it talks about how Moses got tired and Chaim says that some of us are getting tired of standing up for what’s right, but we have to keep on standing up. He reminds us of how Edom refused to help Israel, as recorded in Numbers chapter 20, and that is why they’re cursed.

Chaim mentions that anti-Semitism has risen by 400% since the war began, and this is definitely a time when it’s necessary to stand up for Israel and the Jewish People.

He reminds us of Moses words in Deuteronomy chapter 20 where he says that any tree that’s bearing fruit will be allowed to continue growing but any tree that isn’t bearing fruit will be chopped down and used in the war. Chaim is saying that we need to bear fruit where we’ve been planted.

He says that NOTHING can prevent the plans and purposes and promises of God for Israel from coming to pass, and quotes Isaiah 60:18; Violence shall no longer be heard in your land, Neither wasting nor destruction within your borders; But you shall call your walls Salvation, And your gates Praise.

Chaim then sings a song and asks his viewers to pray the promises of Scriptures regarding Israel over Israel in these days. He says “pray this into reality” and then he concludes my asking his viewers to keep him in prayer as he is going back into Gaza soon.

(Day 563) Swords of Iron – “Drive Terror Out”

Chaim starts by saying he remembers the day he got the call to come to his IDF reserve unit because the war was starting and he was needed. He talks about others he knows who did the same, even though many of them were very busy and had a lot going on, they all dropped what they were doing and ran to join their units. They all thought it would be a short war like so many others before it, but this war has lasted over a year and a half and there’s no end in sight.

(Day 562) Swords of Iron – “Fell in the line of duty”

Chaim starts by saying it’s always tragic when the IDF suffers casualties, and he honors Warrant Officer G’haleb Sliman Alnasasra, 35, of Rahat, who was killed in action over the weekend. Several other soldiers were wounded in the attack, which occurred in an area that was believed to have been cleared of hostile actors, but Hamas had a tunnel that had not been demolished yet and some Hamas guys popped up out of that tunnel and fired an RPG at an IDF vehicle and then later as a rescue vehicle was headed towards the scene Hamas detonated an IED and inflicted more casualties.

(Day 561) Swords of Iron – “Name a Hero of yours”

Chaim starts the video by asking his viewers to leave a comment talking about who their heroes are. He then tells the story of one of his personal heroes, Fredreich Bonhoofer, who was a pastor in Germany who publicly stood against the Nazi regime and was also involved in the plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler in July 1944. His great legacy is that although he was a pacifist, he said that to not take action in the face of evil, and to not speak out in the face of evil, was to support evil and to become evil.
