Day 326 Swords of Iron – “Another Hostage Rescued!!”
Chaim starts the video by blowing a handful of dust into the wind and he says that these are the kinds of situations which cause us to think deeply about the meaning of life and the purpose of our existence.
In this context he quotes Ecclesiastes 12:7; then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the [a]spirit will return to God who gave it.
He also quotes Psalms 103:15-19; As for man, his days are like grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, to such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them. The Lord has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.
However, Chaim adds that we are all part of a Divine plan, including the restoration of the Land of Israel and the return of the exiles. The Aliyah Return Center is part of this plan and so is the IDF.
Chaim mentions the operation in Rafah earlier in the day that was the result of an intelligence tip from some Gaza residents who told the IDF that there were Israeli hostages being held in nearby tunnels. So the IDF and the Shin bet went into the tunnels and found a living hostage and rescued him. His name was Qaid Farhan Alkadi and he was a 52-year-old Beduin man from a community in the Negev. He is the father of 11 children, and his family was overjoyed to hear the news of his rescue. They rushed to the hospital where he was being treated to greet him and welcome him back home.
At the same time, the war continues and is even escalating, as Chaim mentions a massive explosion and fire at an Iranian oil facility, whose cause is still being investigated.
But Chaim says it’s all making him ponder the question of why we’re here and why God created each of us. Chaim says it’s not an accident that God brought the Jewish people back to the Promised Land and now is not the time to back down but the time to surge forward. He mentions the ongoing work of the ARC and urges his viewers to continue praying and supporting this work.
