Day 396 Swords of Iron – “Elections”

Chaim starts out by saying that everyone in Israel is in suspense, wondering how the elections in the US will go. The relationship between Israel and the US is so strong and important that Israelis are naturally very concerned about it.

He then gives a quick review of some of the highlights from the latest rounds of fighting in the Gaza Strip and also in Lebanon. He says that steady progress is being made in the plan to dismantle there terrorist groups. He says that the lies Hezbollah told that they were trying to protect Lebanon from Israel are being exposed as it becomes more and more obvious that they were wasting all the “aid” money they got to build infrastructure meant to attack Israel.

He also mentions the lies that the Ayatollahs in Iran told in order ot take over that country, and these lies are being exposed and that regime is trembling and might soon crumble under the pressure.

Next Chaim mentions the leaks of classified information here in Israel and in the US. These leaks did damage to the national security of both of these countries.

Chaim then mentions that Israel is anticipating a barrage of Iranian weapons from the territory of Iraq. But as we’re waiting for that, there is news of massive floods in and around Baghdad, similar to what happened in the Houthi-controlled parts of Yemen a few months ago.

In this context, he quotes Psalms 146:5; Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God.

Chaim concludes by saying that he is proud to wear the pendent which demands to “bring them home now” and he says this refers to the hostages being held in Gaza but also all those Jewish people waiting to make Aliyah.

(Day 484) Swords of Iron – “Home sweet Home”

Chaim starts out by saying that the hostage release mechanism that is part of a broader cease-fire deal between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip is difficult to accept, since it includes the release of so many high-profile terrorists from Israeli prisons. It is also difficult to watch the barbaric conditions under which some of the Israeli hostages are being released.
