Day 244 Swords of Iron – “Stand in the gap for Israel”

Chaim begins the video by talking about how great it was to celebrate Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day) in the Gaza Strip with explosions and warfare. He says that it makes him realize that he is part of a chain of warriors who have defended the defenseless and preserved this country for generations.

But, he says, next he’s looking forward to celebrating Shavuot (Pentecost) and maybe even getting a short break from the war to go home and celebrate with his family. Shavuot is a very important festival on the Biblical calendar because according to tradition, it was on this day that God gave the Torah to Moses on Mount Sinai. It is on days like this that the underlying theme of Israel becomes unity in the face of adversity. Chaim contrasts this with the culture he’s encountered in Gaza, which is all about a cult of death and destruction.

He then describes how his night was, including as it did the exploration of a Hamas terror tunnel in Rafah. He takes a moment to thank his viewers for sending tools that have made the job of exploring these tunnels so much easier and safer for him and his comrades and he mentions that if people want to send more DeWalk tools he’d be grateful.

But he says that they had just come back out of the entrance to one tunnel when he heard and felt a large explosion. They were in a building and all the walls were shaking and the glass windows were shattering all around him, and the roof of the building started burning. Then, all of a sudden, four Hamas terrorists emerged from the tunnel that Chaim had just been in and a firefight erupted. Three of the terrorists were taken out but one escaped and one of Chaim’s comrades was also killed in that exchange of fire.

It reminded Chaim of a verse that he’s holding tightly to, Psalms 118:17; I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

Next Chaim talks about the escalating violence in the north, where Hezbollah has increased the tempo of rockets, missiles, and UAV’s it’s firing into Israel. This led to large forest fires in the Galilee region this week, and Chaim says he is keeping a close eye on this because his family is in the Galilee. He’s worried about them, and about the terrible damage that Hezbollah can do, but he’s not worried about Israel being destroyed.

He quotes Jeremiah 31:10; Hear the word of the Lord, O nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd does his flock.’

(Day 617) Swords of Iron – “Iran Bombards Israel”

Chaim starts by introducing himself for those who haven’t seen the videos before, and the reason they might not have is that the topic of Iran’s attack on Israel is massively increasing the number of people watching the videos. Chaim talks at length about these issues, starting with a direct hit taken by a residential high-rise apartment building in Bat Yam from an Iranian-launched ballistic missile. Several people were killed and wounded in the strike, which also included over 150 other ballistic missiles that Iran launched at Israel in this barrage.

(Day 616) Swords of Iron –  “Israel has struck Irans nuclear facilities Operation Rising Lion”

Chaim starts by announcing that the strikes on Iran have begun, and they’ve already succeeded in smashing Iran’s air defense systems, ballistic missile launchers, nuclear scientists, IRGC officers and headquarters as well as military leaders and most important, key sites related to Iran’s nuclear program. The regime has been severely degraded, and Iran’s ability to strike Israel has also taken a big hit.

(Day 615) Swords of Iron – “DEFCON 1 Imminent?”

Chaim starts out by saying that at times when the world is most dark, that’s when the light shines the brightest. As an example, he points to Argentinian President Javier Gerardo Milei who visited Jerusalem this week and spoke strongly in support of the Jewish State during a visit to the Knesset.
