Day 255 Swords of Iron – “Mourn and Train”

Chaim begins by telling his viewers that in these difficult times, he takes comfort from the Scriptures, especially the Psalms written by King David. He gives as an example Psalms 34:16; The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

He continues by saying that this is important to remember as Israel faces the “Goliath” of growing anti-Semitism all over the world. He also mentions that the IDF is on the highest possible level of alert as an all-out war with Hezbollah in the north threatens to erupt and the war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip is still ongoing.

He adds that there is also a real battle in the information space, with influencers taking sides. He mentions Joe Rogan, who has a very successful podcast, who recently said that Israel is committing a “Holocaust” in Gaza. This is astounding and not something we would have expected from Rogan, who usually demonstrates a strong commitment to the truth.

Chaim says that there is a literal mountain of evidence to show that Israel is doing as much as possible to minimize civilian casualties in this war, while Hamas is deliberately trying to increase them in order to damage Israel’s ability to fight back.

He goes on to say that it’s been a difficult few days, with the news coming about 12 IDF soldiers killed in action in Gaza. This is an unusually high number and it testifies to the intense battles that are being fought. Chaim says there’s so many funerals that he’s attended lately but even in their grief, he and his comrades continue to train for the battles that lie ahead.

While training, he keeps in mind Psalms 144:1; Blessed be the Lord my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle.

He also quotes Deuteronomy 31:6; Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Chaim then declares that the IDF will continue training and preparing, but the Aliyah Return Center is also hard at work back on the home front, distributing donated humanitarian aid and assistance to those who need it, and he urges his viewers to continue supporting these efforts.

(Day 484) Swords of Iron – “Home sweet Home”

Chaim starts out by saying that the hostage release mechanism that is part of a broader cease-fire deal between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip is difficult to accept, since it includes the release of so many high-profile terrorists from Israeli prisons. It is also difficult to watch the barbaric conditions under which some of the Israeli hostages are being released.
