(Day 527) Swords of Iron – “Is Israel an Apartheid state?”

Chaim starts the video talking about how Israel is on high alert, expecting ballistic missile attacks to come from the Houthis in Yemen. Although the first missile they fired at Israel in several months was intercepted far to the south, around Sharm al-Sheik Egypt, we know that more are coming. But we’re not afraid because the US is hitting the Houthis hard, even though they don’t learn their lesson and back off. Israel also has strong defenses against incoming missiles and above all, we know that God is with us to protect us and shelter us from harm.

Next he talks about the massive amounts of money Qatar has been sending to American universities in order to buy influence with the faculty and students. The goal is obvious, to shape the worldview of the next generation of American leaders, but Qatar is also sending plenty of money to American lobbyists in order to try and influence the American poltiical scene here and now.

Chaim thinks its out of order for Qatar to have so much influence in the United States and other Western countries, just as it is out of order for the Houthis to be allowed to threaten international shipping lanes and the global economy, to say nothing of their unprovoked attacks on Israel.

Chaim also mentions the need for the IDF to stay in the Philadelphi Corridor, to prevent Hamas from re-arming and getting new financing and other material support from Iran in order to rebuild their power to attack Israel.

In this context, Chaim quotes Exodus 15:1-14; Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the Lord, and spoke, saying: “I will sing to the Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!

The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

The Lord is a man of war; The Lord is His name. Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has cast into the sea; His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea. The depths have covered them; they sank to the bottom like a stone. 

“Your right hand, O Lord, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O Lord, has dashed the enemy in pieces. And in the greatness of Your excellence You have overthrown those who rose against You; You sent forth Your wrath; It consumed them like stubble.

And with the blast of Your nostrils the waters were gathered together; The floods stood upright like a heap; The depths congealed in the heart of the sea. The enemy said, ‘I will pursue,
I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire shall be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword, My hand shall destroy them.’

You blew with Your wind, the sea covered them; they sank like lead in the mighty waters. “Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

Chaim says this passage is on his mind as we approach Passover and also Jeremiah 16:14-16;  “Therefore behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “that it shall no more be said, ‘The Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘The Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers. “Behold, I will send for many fishermen,” says the Lord, “and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.
