(Day 599) Swords of Iron – “Light Vs Darkness”

Chaim starts by saying that it’s been 599 days since Hamas started this war and the IDF is forging ahead with Operation Gideon’s Chariots, searching for the hostages in Gaza while Hamas infrastructure is subsequently destroyed and security is restored.

While this is going on, US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff is continuing his diplomatic efforts to try and get a deal with Hamas that would see hostages released. Chaim says that’s all fine and good and he hopes it works, but along with many of his fellow soldiers, he believes that full victory is the key to releasing the hostages and otherwise achieving the war’s objectives.

On that note, Chaim also says that around the world, many lies are spreading, often just mindlessly repeating the Hamas talking points without checking or even asking where the information came from.

Chaim says that his friend Hananya Naftali reminds us of how Israel gets accused to the very crimes that have been committed against it by terrorist organizations like Hamas. It’s surreal how Israel is the victim of genocidal attacks, yet it is accused of genocide.

Next, Chaim gives credit to the 50,000 people who came out to support a Pro-Israel event sponsored by the UJA organization in Toronto this week. They marched through the streets in support of Israel, despite the presence of a handful of anti-Israel counter-demonstrators.

He aslo mentions an incident in Liverpool, where someone drove a car into a crowd of people celebrating a soccer match, injuring several. Chaim says he doesn’t know if it was a terrorist attack, but even if it was just an accident, it could have been prevented. Israel knows how to prevent such incidents and other countries can learn from us.

Chaim also has praise for the young people of DOGE, who found monies that were sent to the United States Insititute for Peace, which was found to have been funneled to some sketchy organizations in the Middle East.

Chaim concludes by quoting Isaiah 29:5; “Moreover the multitude of your foes, shall be like fine dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones like chaff that passes away; yes, it shall be in an instant, suddenly.”
