(Day 802) Swords of Iron – “Defense Deal connects us to UAE”
Chaim starts by saying it’s Chanukkah and the Jewish people are fighting to keep their light from being extinguished. Jewish people are being attacked and murdered all over the world, just for being Jewish. Some people are seeing this and pushing back, others are keeping their heads down hoping this will pass, and they won’t have to get involved. But some are actively cheering on the anti-Semites. Some governments are also pushing back in various ways, but it’s probably too little, too late to save them.
Here in the Middle East, UAE has entered into a $2.3 billion agreement with Israel’s Elbit Systems to co-develop a system, based on Israel’s already mature technology, to defend aircraft, both military and civilian, from missiles. THis is one of many initiatives UAE and Israel are jointly working on to make life better for people in both countries.
Chaim believes Saudi Arabia will eventually make a formal entry into the Abraham Accords, after years of informal contacts and cooperation.
Chaim says that sometimes Israel feels isolated, but the truth and the light will never be truly isolated.
He mentions what the Australian Prime Minister said, that ISIS inspired the Bondi Beach attack. Chaim says it’s good that the root of the problem is at least being acknowledged, but Iran is another cause of this problem, as they are getting everyone riled up to attack Jews everywhere.
However, as the Australian Jewish community has rallied and shown they will not be intimidated, Chaim says this is what all freedom loving, civilized people must do.
He also gives a shout out to the people, some Jewish civilians, some Australian police officers and one Arab Muslim passerby, who stood up to these jihadists and stopped their evil violence.
He also encourages his viewers to remember that as dark and scary as things might get, they’re on the side of light and truth, and that means they’re on the side of the God of Israel, and that’s the side that’s going to win in the end.
He also reminds them that there’s still a job to do in Gaza, Lebanon, and the wider Middle East. He says that the fate of the entire civilized world hangs in the balance and will depend on what happens here next.
He concludes by quoting Isaiah 54:17; No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.
