(Day 814) Swords of Iron – “Trump and Netanyahu at Mar-A-Lago”

Chaim starts by asking his viewers to tell him in the comments what they think about the Red Heifer issue.

Then, he says that he almost can’t believe that after all Israel has gone through, just a couple more days and 2025 will be over, because so much has happened this year. However, he’s also glad that one of the things that happened this year is that Defense Minister Yisrael Katz has approved a plan to allow Israeli Jews to visit Joseph’s tomb in Nablus, which is a city which is administered by the Palestinian Authority.

Chaim also mentions the ongoing disagreement over the drafting of Ultra-Orthodox (haredi) young men into the IDF. Chaim says the current system isn’t working and something needs to change, because everyone needs to serve unless they’re physically unfit and unable.

On another topic, Chaim is happy to report that former hostages Matan Zangauker and Ilana Gritzewsky are engaged to be married.

But there’s also some bad news, as Iran is fitting out warheads for its ballistic missiles that have the capability of delivering chemical or biological payloads. This means that even if they are intercepted over Israel, they could still be dangerous.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared this week that his country is in an all out war with Israel, the US and Europe. Chaim says this is crazy talk, and very dangerous since it means Iran is giving itself permission to do almost anything, including using unconventional weapons to commit war crimes.

At the same time, Israel has recognized Somaliland and this gives Israel some advantages in the ongoing war against Iran and the Houthis in Yemen. This is to the liking of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, and other moderate Sunni powers such as Saudi Arabia said they didn’t like it, but Chaim says he thinks quietly they’re going to go along with it because it aligns with their regional interests as well.

But the big story this week is Prime Minister Netanyahu’s visit to Mar-a-Lago in Florida, where he is meeting with President Trump and working out a plan for Hamas to be finished off and jihadist terrorism to otherwise be defeated.

Chaim says we need to believe in the promises of God for the new year, 2026 and beyond. In this context, he quotes Psalms 144:2; My lovingkindness and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield and the One in whom I take refuge, Who subdues my people under me.
