Day 156

Chaim starts the video showing a scene of a destroyed building in the Gaza Strip, and he reaches down to pick up a book that was in the building. It is a school book for children and it contains images of “evil” IDF soldiers while Hamas terrorists are shown helping distribute humanitarian aid to civilians.

Chaim then shifts to commentary mode, mentioning that the Muslim holy month of Ramadan is beginning, and he rhetorically asks what his viewers think is likely to happen. He throws out a couple of possibilities, including that it might be the beginning of the “Gog-Magog War” prophecied about in Ezekial 38-39. He also suggests that it might be the beginning of a large war with Hezbollah on the northern border, making it the Third Lebanon War. He mentions that he fought in the Second Lebanon War in 2006, saying it “was not fun.”

He ticks off a few different recent events indicating that things are heating up on the northern border, as well as in Judea and Samaria. He says that the Shin Bet, in cooperation with the IDF and the Border Police, have carried out many operations in Judea and Samaria to try and pre-empt any outbreaks of violence there during Ramadan.

Chaim also mentions the ongoing negotiations for a cease-fire, with Qatar taking the surprising move of declaring that if the Hamas leaders won’t agree to something then they will be ejected from the country, where they live in luxurious hotels.

Iran has reacted angrily to this threat and declared that the only party responsible for the failure of cease-fire talks is Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Meanwhile, Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in Gaza, appears to have completely lost his mind and is declaring that Hamas is on the brink of total victory and doesn’t need to listen to anyone or succumb to anyone’s pressure tactics.

Chaim admits that the situation is very convoluted. But he then declares that the IDF needs to ignore all this and concentrate on its mission of eliminating the threats from terrorists in the Gaza Strip and everywhere else they pose a threat.

Chaim reminds his viewers that God is in control of the situation, no matter how chaotic it might look, and he quotes Isaiah 43:1, “But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.”

He concludes by declaring that no power in the world will prevent God from carrying out His plans and purposes.

(Day 785) Swords of Iron – “Hold On To Hope”

Chaim starts by talking about how the tunnels Hamas dug under the ground in Gaza are being found and demolished one after the other, and the terrorists that were hiding in them are either being eliminated or surrendering. Meanwhile, Chaim sees miracles happening in this war, including an incident in Syria where a bullet lodged in the helmet of a soldier instead of penetrating. These small miracles let Chaim know that we’re winning and on the right track.

(Day 783) Swords of Iron – “Battling Syrian Jihadists”

Chaim starts by describing an anti-terrorist operation that the IDF recently carried out in southern Syria which resulted in a firefight that left six IDF soldiers wounded, but over 20 terrorists were terminated. This is just one indication of the large and growing threat to Israel that is building on the northern border region. Although Syria’s interim President Abu Muhammed Al Jolani was at the White House in a suit and tie recently, it is widely understood that he is not really in full control of what happens in many places inside Syria, and the border region south of Damascus is at best semi-governed. Many terrorist groups are setting up shop there, and Israel has to contend with that issue.

(Day 782) Swords of Iron – “Happy Thanksgiving”

Chaim starts by saying that he’s addressing them from the Aliyah Return Center which is on the shores of the Sea of Galilee and the Jordan River, and he wants to say a big thank you to all the supporters of the ARC. Being grateful is a big part of who the Jewish people and the nation of Israel are, and giving thanks to God for all He has done for us is woven into the fabric of everyday life.
