ARC Israel Updates

January 29th 2024 – Day 114

Chaim begins the video by explaining that he’s standing in the middle of a large cache of weapons that Hamas intended to use against Israelis. They were found by the IDF in Gaza and brought to a temporary location to be prepared for demolition.

He says that this is just a tiny fraction of the massive arsenal of weaponry that terrorist groups all over the world have “formed” against Israel and the civilized world. But he says that all of these weapons “will not prosper” and will not succeed in stopping the plans and purposes of God.

Chaim points to the Book of Exodus, chapters 13-15 where it describes God’s miraculous protection over the people of Israel and the nation of Israel. Chaim says the assurance that these passages provide is what gives him hope amidst the present darkness. He says that gratitude is the proper response to God’s faithfulness and love.

He says that if anyone is going through a difficult season, maybe they need some “manna” from the Lord, which can be found my reading the Bible.

Chaim says it’s always important to remember that even in the darkest moments, God is watching over and protecting those who love him and are called according to his his principles.

The scene then shifts to Gazans chanting in the streets demanding the removal of Hamas.

The scene shifts again to Chaim lighting a candle and sharing some thoughts on International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

He says that the Holocaust happened because hatred was allowed to spread unchecked, and he says it must never be allowed to happen again and that’s why he’s proud to be in the IDF, standing guard to make sure it doesn’t happen again. But it’s disheartening to watch the International Court of Justice in the Hague issue a ruling that gives credence tp a false accusation against Israel even as it is fighting for its life against merciless hatred in the form of Hamas and Hezbollah.

He concludes by saying that the Aliyah Return Center will continue to care for Survivors of the Holocaust and otherwise honor the memories of the 6 million murdered victims of the Holocaust and say “Never again” and mean it!

(Day 829) Swords of Iron – “Podcast with Dr. Mordechai Kedar, Middle East expert”

Shalom from the beautiful—and windy—Sea of Galilee!
Today, instead of my usual update from the front lines, I’ll be joined live on my weekly podcast by Prof. Dr. Mordechai Kedar.
Professor Dr. Kedar is a Middle East analyst like no other—arguably one of the foremost voices on Iran today.
He is multi-lingual, and besides Hebrew and English and a few others he also understands Persian (Farsi) – the language of Iran.

(Day 828) Swords of Iron – “Imminent”

Things are not slowing down here. The US has confirmed advanced military plans against Iran, and regional forces—including Israel—are preparing. It’s very tense, palpable, tangible; you can taste the tension in the air.

(Day 827) Swords of Iron – “13,000 protesters Killed”

As we’re there in the mud and cold of Gaza, it’s clear there is no other option than expanding the fight beyond simply dismantling tunnels. These Palestinian militant terrorists refuse to disarm. They are regrouping, rearming, and rebuilding. When we block one tunnel, they dig another entrance. Their goal remains the same: to advance their terrorist, jihadist agenda.
