Update (Day 965) Swords of Iron “60 Days Extension”

This might sound unbelievable, but it’s true: the United Nations has added Israel to a blacklist. Here we are defending ourselves on seven fronts—really eight, if you count the media—and somehow the UN says Israel is the problem.

So Israel has now decided to cut ties with the office of the UN chief Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for as long as he holds that office. We cannot keep playing these games while fighting Hezbollah, Hamas, Iran, and their terror networks.

At the same time, reports say the United States and Iran may extend the ceasefire by 60 days. Trump may not have given final approval yet, but it appears close. What happens after 60 days? I don’t know.

Meanwhile, the IRGC is still making threats. After the U.S. strike near Bandar Abbas airport, Iran claimed it targeted a U.S. air base in response. So they are still striking American assets, yet somehow this is not considered full-blown war because negotiations continue. It feels like a game—but Israel and the free world are not asking for games. We need Iran to stop pursuing nuclear weapons, stop firing ballistic missiles, and stop funding terror.

Iran talks big, but its economy is collapsing, its navy has been devastated, and its regime is weaker than it wants the world to believe. Still, it threatens that its response “will not be limited to the Middle East.” What does that mean—Europe? America?

The free world must take these threats seriously.

When Iran finally restored internet after one of the longest planned blackouts in history, voices from inside the country began speaking out. Some Iranians asked where the promised help was. Others warned that if Trump makes a deal with the Ayatollahs, he will be remembered for cowardice. Footage of protests that had been blocked began surfacing again.

The people of Iran know the truth: this regime has held them hostage.

I recently met representatives from Iran who said clearly: the regime must fall. Only then will the other dominoes—Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and the rest of Iran’s proxy network—begin to fall as well.

And yet, amid the uncertainty, I’m encouraged. I met people from Estonia, Norway, America, Canada, Finland, and many other nations who came to Jerusalem, Israel’s undivided capital, and said, “We stand with Israel.”

That matters. Even when the world is confused, the truth is still breaking through.

Isaiah 41:14-16 speaks of Israel as small and weak—like a worm—but then becoming a sharp threshing instrument that threshes mountains. God is doing something powerful.

A new season of peace is coming—not only for the Middle East, but for the nations.
