(Day 499) Swords of Iron – “How were the Hostages Treated?”
Chaim starts the video talking about all the terrible things the hostages held in Gaza must have gone through. He says they were held in really unhealthy conditions in tunnels with lice and other insects, mold, etc. He says that Hamas not only kept them in foul conditions, they also subjected them to mental and emotional torment. They were very poorly fed and otherwise mistreated. All of this is just more proof that Hamas cannot be allowed to govern the Gaza Strip, and even the Egyptians have made this clear to them. There are plans being made to facilitate their removal from the Gaza Strip, but this will take time.
(Day 498) Swords of Iron – “Dreams Hopes and Reoccurring Nightmares”
Chaim starts by pointing out that three hostages have in fact been released by Hamas, which the country badly needed because we were all in a bad mood after the events of the last week. THis included Hamas playing games, saying they weren’t going to release anyone, but US President Donald Trump threatened serious consequences if they didn’t, so in the end they did.
(Day 497) Swords of Iron – “Moment Of Truth”
Chaim starts by saying that Israel and the whole world are holding their breath, waiting to see if Hamas will release the hostages like they are supposed to under the cease-fire agreement. He also mentions that a rocket was fired from Gaza at Israeli territory, but it landed inside Gaza, which just shows that evil always rolls back on itself.
(Day 496) Swords of Iron – “Grand Finale Soon”
Chaim starts by saying that it’s been nice to have a little time at home with his family, but now he’s been called up to go back to the IDF and likely headed into Gaza. But he also mentions the terror attack in Munich as a major NATO security conference is being held in the city.
(Day 495) Swords of Iron – “Ultimatum coming”
Chaim starts by saying that he’s still on leave from the IDF, spending time with his family, but he knows that he must be ready to return at a moment’s notice because the cease-fire could be over very quickly.
(Day 494) Swords of Iron – “Hell to pay for Hamas”
Chaim starts the video by talking about how much he’s enjoying having some time away from being in the Army on the front lines of this war. He’s been spending the time getting caught up on time with his family and also looking after the affairs of the Aliyah Return Center and the Emergency Aid Initiative.
(Day 493) Swords of Iron – “Ceasefire over”
Chaim starts the video by saying that he’s on a little break from the IDF, but he’s got to keep his weapon with him so he’ll be ready to go back to the battle at any moment. He notes that there is still active fighting in many fronts, including Judea and Samaria, and that the cease-fire agreements in Gaza and Lebanon are both very fragile.
(Day 492) Swords of Iron – “2State Solution”
Chaim starts by mentioning that the IDF and civil defense teams in Israel just conducted a large-scale exercise in order to test readiness for a large outbreak of hostilities with Iran or possibly other emergency scenarios. These drills were conducted as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was returning from the US where he met with President Trump and other officials. Israeli President Isaac Herzog was also speaking out about the terrible condition the released hostages were in, physically and emotionally.
(Day 491) Swords of Iron – “Welcome Home Brothers”
Chaim starts the video by talking about how joyful Israelis are to see the return of hostages Or Levy, Eli Sharabi, and Ohad Ben Ami. But this joy is tempered by horror at their starved, emaciated appearances.
(Day 490) Swords of Iron – “Sons and Daughters of Israel”
In this video, Chaim starts by interviewing his own children, asking them how they’re coping with their father (himself) being at war for so long, away from them and in dangerous situations. His son and daughter respond that he prays for his father to be safe, along with all the other soldiers.
