Day 498 Swords of Iron – “Dreams Hopes and Reoccurring Nightmares”

Chaim starts by pointing out that three hostages have in fact been released by Hamas, which the country badly needed because we were all in a bad mood after the events of the last week. THis included Hamas playing games, saying they weren’t going to release anyone, but US President Donald Trump threatened serious consequences if they didn’t, so in the end they did.

Now, Israel has a decision to make about whether to return to full-scale war with Hamas and fully demolish them, or continue with the original schedule of hostage releases. But the problem with this second option is that Israel is also continuing to release security prisoners and Hamas might try to play even more games, changing conditions, etc.

There is another factor here, and that’s President Trump. He’s watching and he wants to be sure that Israel is going to be strong in the face of terror and not back down. Chaim also mentions the massive amount of humanitarian aid that Israel has sent into the Strip since the cease-fire began, which no one seems to be noticing or giving Israel any credit for, but it’s still the right thing to do and it’s something Israel obligated itself to do.

In this context, Chaim quotes Micah 5:8, And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among flocks of sheep, who, if he passes through, both treads down and tears in pieces, and none can deliver.

He concludes the video by thanking his supporters for helping IDF soldiers like him buy the tactical clothes and equipment they need to carry out the mission of protecting Israel.
