Are You Making Aliyah?

(Day 496) Swords of Iron – “Grand Finale Soon”

Chaim starts by saying that it’s been nice to have a little time at home with his family, but now he’s been called up to go back to the IDF and likely headed into Gaza. But he also mentions the terror attack in Munich as a major NATO security conference is being held in the city.

He also mentions that Israel has been on the verge of striking Iran’s nuclear program for many years, and now it’s looking like it might actually happen.

He also mentions that a banner the Hamas terrorists put up on the stage behind the hostages that were being released said “we are the day after the flood” which probably meant they see themselves as being the new normal after Israel has been destroyed. Chaim says that the whole world should be absolutely horrified and terrified at this attitude, as it shows what Hamas and its supporters want the world to look like.

Chaim also mentions the video that’s been circulating on the internet of two nurses in Australia who told an Israeli man that they would kill him if he came to their hospital. It’s a scary situation and it lets Israelis know that they have to be careful when they’re traveling.

Next Chaim talks about how the ceasefire agreement that Israel is currently going through is a bad deal from a security standpoint and the third stage will be a rebuilding of the Strip. President Trump has put out one idea and others are putting out other ideas, but simply allowing Gaza to be rebuilt while the population stays there and everything goes back to the status quo ante is simply a recipe for the next war starting sooner or later.

Chaim also talks about the situation in Syria, where there was a civil war for 13 years and then it was sort of in stasis for awhile and then Assad was defeated, ousted and replaced in a matter of days. Chaim says this is what Yahya Sinwar and the rest of Hamas said was going to happen when they invaded Israel. They thought that Israel would collapse in a matter of days and they’d have a big massacre of Israelis and the whole world would support them.

But that’s not what’s happened and Chaim believes that Israel will eventually have a complete victory. In this context, he quotes Proverbs 21:31; The horse is prepared for the day of battle, But deliverance is of the LORD.
