Day 266 Swords of Iron – Shabbat

Chaim begins the video by talking about how when Shabbat comes he’s moved to think about wars he’s been called up to fight in over the years, where he and his comrades were singing Shabbat songs in bombed-out buildings, but it’s good to honor Shabbat in all places and circumstances.

He thinks about how in normative communities, everyone dresses up in their best clothes to welcome in the Shabbat, fathers pronounce blessings on their wives and children, communities gather together, and he sings song like “Our Father and our King” which Chaim proceeds to sing even as he’s standing in the middle of a battlefield in Rafah.

In this context, Chaim quotes Genesis 14:20 in which Melchizedek blesses Abraham by saying “And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”

Chaim concludes by asking his viewers to pray for the IDF during this difficult time, especially as they celebrate Shabbat amidst the battle.

Update (Day 981) Swords of Iron “Lone Soldiers and PTSD”

Soon it will be 3 decades since I immigrated to this Promised Land—my inheritance.
Most of you have followed this journey for many years. You’ve seen the work through my channel defending Israel in the media, and the different charities helping new immigrants, Holocaust survivors, and those who need a home here in Israel.

Update (Day 980) Swords of Iron “14 Points😅”

These are times of upheaval and tension here in the Middle East.
On one side, Iran is threatening America. Major General Ali Abdollahi warned that if the United States strikes again, “the flames of war” will spread. He warned them not to touch Iran’s oil infrastructure. Back off—or else.
