Day 383 Swords of Iron – “Layers and Lairs, of Terror“

Chaim says that after a year in Gaza, and now he’s been deployed to fight in Lebanon, he’s seeing an enormous quantity of weapons and ammunition that Hezbollah meant to use against Israel. Instead, Israel is capturing and destroying it, denying it’s use to Hezbollah.

Chaim says that this is a season of history when many things are being exposed, both good things and evil things. People are stepping up, for better and for worse. It is not a time to be lukewarm.

For one thing, someone in the US government leaked some information about Israel’s plans to retaliate against Iran for its ballistic missile attack on October 1st. Hezbollah succeeded in hitting the private home of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with a drone, and Israel is, in general, preparing for a big fight with Iran.

Iran is trying to hide things from the International Atomic Energy Agency, and there are many other things in motion. Chaim believes an Israeli strike on Iran will happen in the very near future and there’s no telling what will happen next, except that Israel will continue to stand strong and believe in the God above who is the author and finisher of our faith.

Chaim says that the strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon are going very well, and he’s encouraged to see that so many of the leaders of Hezbollah have been taken out. But he’s also frustrated because he was part of the IDF operation in 2006 and they weren’t allowed to finish the job back then so now they have to go in and do it again. He says he’s been going into Hezbollah tunnels and finding mind blowing amounts of weapons and ammunition that Hezbollah meant to use against Israelis. It’s all funded by Iran and narcotics trafficking.

In the midst of all this, Chaim says that he’s been thinking a lot about his word “Aliyah” which of course, is part of the name of the Aliyah Return Center charity which he is the CEO of, but the word also means “to ascend” in a more general sense.

He says that you ascend when you’re down low, as Israel is right now.

So he’s asking his viewers to pray for and otherwise support Israel more then ever before right now as we need to “ascend” out of this low place we’re in. In this context, he quotes Psalms 44:4; You are my King, O God; Command victories for Jacob.

He concludes by thanking his viewers for allowing the Aliyah Return Center to continue to provide assistance to so many people who need it while he’s in the IDF reserves, fighting this war.

(Day 563) Swords of Iron – “Drive Terror Out”

Chaim starts by saying he remembers the day he got the call to come to his IDF reserve unit because the war was starting and he was needed. He talks about others he knows who did the same, even though many of them were very busy and had a lot going on, they all dropped what they were doing and ran to join their units. They all thought it would be a short war like so many others before it, but this war has lasted over a year and a half and there’s no end in sight.

(Day 562) Swords of Iron – “Fell in the line of duty”

Chaim starts by saying it’s always tragic when the IDF suffers casualties, and he honors Warrant Officer G’haleb Sliman Alnasasra, 35, of Rahat, who was killed in action over the weekend. Several other soldiers were wounded in the attack, which occurred in an area that was believed to have been cleared of hostile actors, but Hamas had a tunnel that had not been demolished yet and some Hamas guys popped up out of that tunnel and fired an RPG at an IDF vehicle and then later as a rescue vehicle was headed towards the scene Hamas detonated an IED and inflicted more casualties.

(Day 561) Swords of Iron – “Name a Hero of yours”

Chaim starts the video by asking his viewers to leave a comment talking about who their heroes are. He then tells the story of one of his personal heroes, Fredreich Bonhoofer, who was a pastor in Germany who publicly stood against the Nazi regime and was also involved in the plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler in July 1944. His great legacy is that although he was a pacifist, he said that to not take action in the face of evil, and to not speak out in the face of evil, was to support evil and to become evil.
