(Day 769) Swords of Iron – “Shift in Progress”
Chaim starts by saying he expects things to shift for the better in the Middle East. He expects the hearts and minds of people in Gaza to shift, as there are only three hostages remaining in the Strip and because of coordination between Israel and the US and others, over 800 trucks full of humanitarian aid are going into the Strip every day.
He also talks about the first rains of the winter season which have finally come, and he says its not fun being a soldier in the rain, but it’s still good for the Land to have rain. He also talks about how, up in Syria, the Kurds are ready for an alliance with Israel, after they’ve tried several times to have an alliance with the Muslims and it always went badly for them.
Elsewhere, the Russians have proposed something for Gaza, saying that instead of sending in an international stabilization force as the U.S. plan calls for, Hamas should just be left in place and allowed to continue as the governing structure in the Strip. Chaim says there’s still no guarantee that the ceasefire will hold long-term, much less that this story will have a happy ending for anyone.
Meanwhile, there are also plans being thrown around for Hamas to be allowed to continue thriving and growing in influence in Judea and Samaria, and Chaim says this doesn’t work for him.
At the same time, Hezbollah is also making a comeback in Lebanon, and Chaim says there might need to be another major IDF operation there.
Around the world, anti-Semitism is growing, manifesting in online bullying as well as physical and rhetorical attacks on Jewish people walking the streets in New Jersey, all over Europe, etc.
In this context, Chaim quotes Psalms 38:9 But my enemies are vigorous, and they are strong; and those who hate me wrongfully have multiplied.”
He concludes by urging his viewers to stay strong and not give up.
