(Day 793) Swords of Iron – “Status Check”

Chaim starts by talking about the new fence being built along the border with Jordan meant to keep out Iranian-inspired threats. Meanwhile, Hamas is still in control in most of Gaza. They’ve been dealt a heavy blow but they’re still maintaining control and terrorizing their own people, which is what they do best. They’re also rebuilding their arsenal so that they can someday attack Israel again. They deny that they’re collecting taxes from the Gazan people, but there is plenty of evidence that they are.

They are also starting to renege on the things they agreed to as part of the ceasefire, for instance, that their tunnel network would be demolished and they would be disarmed.

They are also getting a lot of support from Qatar, Turkey and elsewhere, for the idea of leaving them in place, with their weapons. Chaim says that if this is what happens, then it might mean there will be quiet for awhile, maybe even many years, but eventually, Hamas will re-arm and reemerge as a threat that will be even worse than what they previously were.

There are many diplomatic moves being made, and there are still searches being made for the last fallen hostage, Ran Gvili, so Chaim asks his viewers to be in prayer about that. He also asks them to pray for the IDF soldiers because it’s winter, and they’re out in the cold, and to continue sending practical support to the Aliyah Return Center. He concludes by quoting Psalms 91:4; “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.”
