(Day 794) Swords of Iron – “They’re changing the deal!”

Chaim starts by asking a rhetorical question about what will happen next in Israel’s strategic equation. All of Israel’s enemies have been knocked back, but they’re not done. Hezbollah is making a comeback in Lebanon, the situation in Syria is deeply unstable, the Iranians are trying to rebuild their stockpiles of ballistic missiles, and the Houthis are also quietly rebuilding their arsenals.

There are also lingering threats to Israel in Judea and Samaria, and Chaim also reminds his viewers that there are still many tunnels in Gaza that Hamas can use again in the future and they are also, in general, not disarming as they agreed to do in the ceasefire.

Meanwhile, the US recently hosted a meeting in Doha, Qatar, to try and figure out the best way to move forward with the ceasefire plan. But the Qataris and the Turks made a mockery of this plan and obviously have no real intention of moving forward with it. THey have their own plans and they’re just stinging President Trump along.

But it’s been 8 years since President Trump moved the US Embassy to Jerusalem and ever since, others have followed, and it’s having lots of other follow on effects.

Chaim than mentions that there are many changes going on in Gaza, and although Hamas is weaker then it’s ever been, it’s still stronger then any other potential faction that might rise up to try and govern Gaza in their place.

Amidst all this chaos and tumult, Chaim says that Israel must continue to look to God for guidance and direction and hope. In this context, he quotes Psalms 115:9; “O Israel, trust in the Lord; He is their help and their shield.”
