(Day 795) Swords of Iron – “Storms of various types”
Chaim starts by talking about this storm, Byron, that is hitting Israel right now. Massive amounts of rainfall and strong winds are causing damage to communities all over the country, and in Gaza, it’s especially severe. He wonders aloud if this will lead to the remaining tunnels being flooded, and he says that when you’re following ths God of Israel, things always work out.
In a related story, he plays a short clip of a Qatari commentator saying very openly that Qatar will not allow Hamas to give up its weapons, that their diplomacy, both public and official, is “all a game”. Chaim says that these contant lies and deception damage Qatar’s credibility and they’re not the only ones. Iran has also lied continuously for years about all kinds of things, and no one takes them seriously anymore.
However, sometimes you have no choice but to take things seriously, for example, the bomb threat that was called in to a Synagogue in Brussels this week. It turned out to be a fake, but Chaim says that the source of that bomb scare was probably Iran, and this is an issue that needs to be seriously addressed.
Speaking of addressing issues, US ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz was in Israel this week, bringing an uncompromising message that Hamas WILL be removed from Gaza, there will be no recontstuction aid until the last hostage is released, Hezbollah will not be allowed to reconstitute a threat on the northern border and if the Lebenese government does not act against Hezbollah, Israel will do it for them. Finally, the UN efforts to establish a Palestinian State are political theater with no meaning. Chaim says all this is reassuring, and he adds that Psalms 115:10 is also reassuring when it says; O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord; He is their help and their shield.
