(Day 714) Swords of Iron – “What would you do?”

Chaim starts by saying that it’s appalling to look up in the sky and see yet another missile that’s being fired at Israel by the Houthis in Yemen. He adds that the day before, he’d just come back from two funerals of IDF soldiers killed in action when the alarm sounded and he and his wife and his children had to take shelter in a protected space.

He asks his viewers what they would do, and what they’d want their government to do, if this was happening in their country.

He says that the Israeli air force has bombed Houthi-controlled targets in Yemen, just as they demolished large parts of the Iranian military infrastructure in response to their obedience to what Chaim says was an “order from the Abyss” to try and destroy Israel with ballistic missiles.

At the same time, there was a shooting attack by gunmen at the Allenby Crossing from Jordan into Israel this past week. The gunmen were part of a convoy of trucks carrying humanitarian aid from Jordan, through Israeli territory into Gaza. But now, that has been suspended pending an investigation, because apparently these gunmen were wearing Jordanian Army uniforms. However, Chaim says that many in the world will point to this as Israel “refusing to allow aid to be sent into Gaza” because at this point, the truth is completely unimportant to so many people.

Speaking of truth, Chaim mentions that several rockets and other heavy weapons were recently discovered in Ramallah, the “capital city” of the Palestinian Authority, north of Jerusalem. These rockets were meant to be fired at Israeli cities and communities and this is happening in an area ostensibly administered by the PA, which has publicly declared that it will no longer use kinetic violence to try and establish a Palestinian State.

Chaim says that whatever intentions anyone might have had, the Palestinian street is still committed to violence, and that hasn’t changed and probably won’t change.

Speaking of things that never seem to change, Chaim mentions a recent meeting he attended with US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee in which he said that a conspiracy theory that has recently surfaced that Israel is to blame for the assassination of Charlise Kirk is a “blood libel” and utterly absurd. It is made even more absurd by the fact that the individual who carried out the assassination is in custody and there is a written record of his motives and thoughts towards Charlie Kirk. Israel has no motive for wanting to kill Charlie Kirk, or hiring anyone else to do it.

Chaim also says that it’s good Charlie Kirk turned down an offer of $150 million from Prime Minister Netanyahu to help his organization, Turning Point USA, because that would have opened Charlie up to accusations that he was a hired stooge for Israel. Charlie wanted to bless Israel because he believed that’s what God wanted him to do, not because someone paid him to do it. But some are trying to point to this and say that Israel was so angry at having this offer turned down that they had Charlie Kirk murdered, and that is just outrageously absurd.

Chaim also mentions the recent statements by the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who said that Jerusalem is rightfully an Arab city. Turkey has a massive, highly trained and equipped modern military and Chaim notes that their intentions must be watched very closely.

In a related development, the interim President of Syria, Abu Muhammed Al-Jolani, is hinting that he’s ready to sign a security agreement with Israel that would be less than a full normalization agreement but would resolve many of the outstanding issues between Israel and Syria. This is exactly what Hamas does not want, and so Chaim says he hopes it happens. He hopes that the entire regional agenda of the Jihadist groups gets torn down and pushed back.

Getting back to Gaza, there are also grassroots efforts in the Strip to form alternative militias that might not be friendly towards Israel, but they don’t want Hamas to rule over them and they’re ready to get rid of them.

Chaim concludes by reminding his viewers of the “Charlie Kirk principle” that we all need to transition from saying “I can” to “I will” in terms of speaking out, standing firm, and holding to the promises of God in Scripture. In this context, he quotes Isaiah 35:1; The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;
