Day 203 Swords of Iron –“Rafah”
Chaim starts out the video by saying he senses that we’re on the cusp of an outbreak of violence and hatred against Israel, the Jews and the Bible such as we’ve never seen before. He says that there’s a growing sentiment in many places around the world saying that Israel’s creation was a mistake, that the entire process by which the League of Nations created the British Mandate for Palestine after the First World War and the UN voted for the partition of the Mandate into a Jewish and Palestinian state in 1948 and all the other steps in this process including the San Remo Conference etc. was all illegitimate.
Beyond that, the words of the Bible which include promises that God would regather the Jewish People in this Land and restore the nation of Israel are also being declared illegitimate and irrelevant, along with everything else this Book says. Chaim mentions that if it’s wrong for the Jewish People to be re-gathered into this country than its also wrong for charities like the Aliyah Return Center to assist new immigrants when they come here.
There are many other things that have long been part of the mainstream discourse in Western countries which are now being called into question and de-legitimized, as if the very fabric of our civilization and our way of life are under attack.
Chaim notes that much of the anti-Israel influence is being directed at young people in universities, because the Enemy knows that young people are the easiest to convince of a lie, and there are many examples of this phenomenon in history.
But Chaim also says this is all part of the plan God has, and he cites Jeremiah 50:4; “In those days and in that time,” says the Lord, “The children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together; With continual weeping they shall come, and seek the Lord their God.
Also Jeremiah 51:9-10; We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed. Forsake her, and let us go everyone to his own country; For her judgment reaches to heaven and is lifted up to the skies. The Lord has revealed our righteousness. Come and let us declare in Zion the work of the Lord our God.
Chaim says that the Enemy wants war but Israel does not. Israel is fighting a war of self-defense and self-preservation that it has no choice in.
Chaim then goes over some of the history of the wars that the United States, Israel’s greatest ally, has fought in its history. He ends this rundown with the war on terror, which had a definite start but it’s sometimes unclear when or how it will end. Israel’s war against Hamas and Hezbollah are certainly part of that war and Chaim says that it feels like it’s expandingng and could become a World War comparable to the conflicts in the first half of the 20th century.
Chaim says it’s also possible that this will blow over, but that’s unlikely. There is a clear choice before us between a world in which freedom and democracy are present and a world ruled by darkness and anarchy and the “man of lawlessness.”
So Chaim says, quoting Joshua 24:15, that we must all “choose this day who you will serve” and he says that he’s made his choice. The Judeo-Christian tradition gave rise to the modern democracies and it came from Israel.
He concludes the video by counting the third day of the Omer and saying we should all thank God for the good things we have in our lives.
