Chaim starts out by quoting Psalms 28:7; The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.

He goes on to say that 2024 will be a year of power and victory in Israel, quoting II Timothy 1:7; For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

He adds that this verse helps him stay focused in the midst of great challenges, including the fact that Turkey, which has long been a regional ally of Israel and remains an important economic partner, is rapidly turning against the Jewish State. Iran has also deployed a warship to the Red Sea, even as the US has redeployed a carrier battle group out of the area and it’s unclear if that battle group will be replaced in the near future.

He also mentions his astonishment that there are so many rockets still being fired into Israel even after so many launchers and rockets have been found and destroyed by the IDF. He talks about many of the other challenges Hamas poses, both physical and also moral, since they are totally unapologetic for the atrocities they carried out on October 7th but on the contrary, they’re very proud of it.

He also says that the threat from Hezbollah on Israel’s northern border and possibly attacks from Palestinian factions in Jordan are also being prepared for by the IDF. He also says that the Aliyah Return Center will continue to assist internally displaced families who have had to flee their homes near the borders as well as providing life-saving equipment to IDF soldiers in the war zone.
